You should be a ambassador! I bought this off your comment!

But I do love gin… And when I saw rare… Game over

    • +4

Please for the love of god, come back after you try it. I honestly have not had a staffer or friend that hasn't liked it. It's winning soooo many damn awards and absolutely destroys Roku, Hendricks or any other well known international gins. You will be very happy with the purchase. It's not my personal favourite as I've gone to gins double the price and has different flavours - but it's an obscene price for a gin of such quality.

      • +2

Haha will do. Love gin. Tanquery 10 and monkey 47 are my favourite

So looking forward to trying this 😁

        • as a gin lover as well, give it a go Lawrenny, is made in TAS and is really good as well

        • They are both good strong flavour. I find Four Pillars a little bland, good to build with I suppose. Archie Rose & Patient Wolf both stronger taste.

          • @blorx: Love Four Pillars as a go to, but Patient Wolf is another level. Get your hands on some Dasher + Fisher if you can.

        • How did it go? :)

      • Yes I've been recommending four pillars to everyone for a while. Gutted I missed this sale!

Have you tried the Shiraz gin? That's an awesome blend with simple tonic water and orange peel.

    • +3

You do realise that "rare dry gin" is actually the name of the stuff, rather than anything to do with scarcity and/or desirability.

It's like the Democratic People's Republic of Korea isn't actually democratic just because it has the word in its name…

  • +2

I agree with OP. This gin is outstanding.

Usually pick one up every time I go through duty free. - Not this year of course.

  • +1

Grabbed some - mentioned to a friend and he thought it was an excellent price too

    • +1

Absolutely, I can suggest others that are usually double the price and of outstanding quality too if he/you are interested. Amazing value on quality gins that you wont get for such a price :)

      • +1

        Interested in your recommendations!

I'm no gin expert by any means, but my favourites have been Animus Arboretum and Forthave Spirits Blue Gin.

        • +2

o0o Animus is a fav! I think Australians are spoilt for choice on amazing gins.

          Never Never Triple Juniper
Malfy Lemon (if you love lemon gin - this is great on a hot day)
Green Ant Dry Gin (could wear it as a perfume)
78 Degrees Rare Dry (great price)
          23rd street Dry
          Manly Spirits Dry Gin
          Prohibition Dry Gin
          Citadelle Dry Gin
          Triple G Dry Gin
          Larrikin Rare Dry Gin
          BoatRocker Jungle Gin

          Karu Lightning Gin Navy Strength
          Never Never Navy Strength

          • @FlatulentFrank: Cheers for the list - will keep an eye out for them!

Only one I’ve tried from that list is 78 Degrees (have a bottle open right now!), and I think maybe I’ve had the Green Ant and possibly the Prohibition too when I’ve been out and about.

            • @caprimulgus: More than welcome - Hot tip! - you'll never find Prohibition Gin for $75 with this offer - well worth the jump for that one.

  • Was showing out of stock now back to limited quantity.

    • yeah it wont last long!

      • Showing last one left. Guessing people checking out then cancelling causing it to keep changing.

    • Says 5 available to me

  • +6

Bought based on this outstanding review of a random internet stranger. 😁

    • as above, I would really be so happy to hear your feedback once tasted. I don't think you can find a gin of such quality at this pricepoint/awards other than when 78 degrees dry gin (Adelaide Gin) was on special at $58 - another outstanding internationally awarded gin that has outstanding reviews throughout websites its sold on.

  • It's saying doesnt post to aus, anyone else having this problem?

    • Boozebud eBay won’t deliver to regional areas, that’s the error I get anyway…

  • +1

    Bought 2; thanks OP!

  • How does this compare to Husk Distillers Ink Dry Gin (Indigo)?

    • +2

Completely different gin - Ink is an acquired taste due to butterflypea (I think) that you either love or hate. I have a borderline gin problem and love tasting gins - this one I don't recommend because it's not universally loved and certainly not enjoyed by me.

  • Bought four :)

  • Got the last one.

  • Cannot add to cart, think It might be gone

  • I've watched it sell out/come back into stock - if it's sold out, please keep an eye on it! Likely to restock as there's a fair few units that they are likely to have on the actual website (different to the listing through eBay) that they may restock numbers. wowsers you guys are buying up!
For those who have gone Hendicks, Roku, Tanqueray in the past - I'm particularly interested to see your thoughts on the difference. :)
    Enjoy!

    • +1

      Your right just got one

  • Thanks OP, got one. Said 6 remaining

  • It's back. I got one.

  • Gone none left

    • And it’s back

  • Got a bottle. Thanks OP.

  • nothing beats Roku!

    • +2

      Apparently this does…

      • +1

The national and international awards suggest so! :)

    • +2

Tastes are personal, but this stuff easily beats it IMO

  • OOS

  • Dman looks like out of stock now

  • +1

Bought one for OPs description. Then remembered I'm supposed to be drinking less. Oh well. Thanks OP

  • Sounds delicious thanks OP!

  • They keep adding stock, so grabbed one thanks :)

  • +1

    Oh no, out of stock!

Then I read all the comments that it keeps restocking… refresh, refresh, bingo!

    Ordered, thanks OP!

  • +1

They've got the delicious bloody shiraz going cheap with this deal too :)

  • got one!

  • Before reporting as out of stock, wait a few minutes and you'll have a similar experience to the many who have waited and purchased once they replenish the numbers available through the eBay store.

  • Doesn't post to VIC Regional :(

  • +1

It still works. First zero stock - wait a minute, refresh. One tasty order. Thanks!

    • +1

You're a legend, it worked, thanks

  • +1

    My favourite Gin. Thanks!

  • +1

Excellent gin but out of stock unfortunately.

  • +1

    Very nice gin.
Thank god it's gone. No more struggle in me.

  • bought 3 for no reason, probably will finish it all by xmas HAHA

  • +1

Great price, great gin, great deal! Thanks OP.

  • I just got some, still worth a try refreshing if you missed out.

  • How does it compare with the Aldi gin :)

  • Awesome post.

Bought 3 and and a Shiraz one too. Ebay plus already paid for itself.

Great tasting gin, this and archie rose my favourites

  • Hmmm been out of stock for a while now. Looks like they may have finally run out.

  • +2

I've come to the conclusion that everything Four Pillars touches turns to gold. Everything I've tried to date has been amazing. You'll find it hard to go back to Bombay Sapphire, mark my words.

    Sad I missed this one.
