Anyone know how this compares to other brands like snow job?

    • Also interested in this. Snow job is all I've used so far.

On some of the detailing groups I follow it gets very positive results when compared to the Bowden's Snow Foam as well as other "retail store" available units.

I use a different brand, but for this price I ordered some for when I'm doing a beater or shit car that I don't; want to use my good stuff on lol!

    • If you have a sio2/ceramic coated car an alkaline based pre wash would be more beneficial. Eg. NV Care Snow+.

Most of the pH balanced foams are similar. I'm more interested in the dwell time of the suds clinging and running down the paint (the action of cleaning) . I can't comment on this particular product but its well priced

      • Plus 1 for NV Snow + - thats my go to 99% of the time!

  • Hmm what else to buy to get over $49 … (I don't need 7.5L of polar blast)

I had my eye on this logitech mouse https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/582819 $30.30 for the last few days but I couldn't find anything else to buy from amazon uk to bring it to the $49… of course when I add both to the cart I am still a few cents short of the $49 :(

  • from UK could not be delivered to Aus ?

    • I added 3 to cart and it came out to $55.98 delivered to my Sydney address so I don't see why not

      • What was the delivery charge for 3 bottles? I don't see its free over $49?

        • +1

Free if you are an Amazon prime member (for overseas orders over $49)

It’s a steal at this price. Thanks for sharing

Bought 3 as well. Great price!

Although, my garage is starting to look like a Supercheap auto with the amount of cleaning products on the shelves.

I so want to buy this but am in the same predicament; I have enough oils, washes etc etc to last me for 12 months…gotta keep the finger away from the purchase button.

        • +2

Oh c'mon just press it already!

      • +1

        Haha mine too

  • Thanks also bought 3, will go well with the meguiars ceramic coating I also bought from the UK

As this is a prewash, will it strip wax and polish from the paint surface, expecting you'll reapply it afterwards?

    • Read the product page

      • Its pH neutral formulation will not remove any existing layers of polish or wax.

Expect people that write labels are marketers, not scientist. What layer of polish are they talking about?

Having said that pH balanced soaps won't degrade your wax and sealants

      • +2

I assume you're asking for user experience rather than manufacturer claims ozzie? I don't use this but it may depend on how long the polish/wax/sealant have been on the car

        Fyi Autoglym claims :
Its pH neutral formulation will not remove any existing layers of polish or wax.
Note they don't appear to specifically mention sealant but same should apply.

Bowden's Own says this about their Snow Job product:
-New advanced ingredients helps rejuvenate and repair the protection and hydrophobicity of nano SiO2 protective coatings with repeated use
-pH neutral formula, so it's safe for regular use on quality waxes, sealants and ceramic paint protection coatings

I used this product for the first time last week and it drastically reduced the TW (ICE) Seal n Shine sealant's water beading on my vehicle. Possibly the sealant was due to be re-applied but I wasn't expecting such a dramatic change (it was beading okay - say 85% - before the Snow Job was applied).

Chemtech CT18 truck wash (a different product type) is also pH neutral and I can assure you it also DOES remove/reduce sealant protection on my vehicle, depending on how long the sealant has been on, how many washes etc.

        • Yes, thank you. They claim your car's paint surface won't be stripped bare, until a week later the water no longer beads on your paintwork.

@ozzieozzieozzie: Foaming over freshly and professionally-applied wax/sealant, in ideal conditions, with an almost perfect starting surface (given the full prep treatment - from claying onwards), they might be close to the mark though ozzie. There are plenty of detailer videos showing how well certain sealants (in particular) can withstand a range of contaminants and still retain good beading and shine. Most of us simply wash and "wax" (in the sun) and that doesn't prepare our paint/clearcoat surfaces perfectly for the protection/shine stage.

Doesn't mean crap. They'll say what they want to sell it.

  • Can anyone recommend a foam cannon that will attach to a Karcher K2? I'd like to buy this and one of those.

    • I use the Meguiar's snow foam cannon with my Karcher K3 - reason for choosing the Meguiar's is it comes with the Karcher attachment as well as a small bottle of gold class car wash so figured it was decent value. The bowdens foam cannon looks decent too but at the time of purchase I wasn't sure if it came with the Karcher attachment or not.

MJJC from aliexpress. They are a copy of a more expensive Italy brand PA. There are lots of Chinese alternatives but I've used MJJC products for years. They are also a OEM manufacturer for some detailing companies. Eg. Mothers wheel brushes

Omg I've been needing this! Thank you! good bye money.

      • hi mate, could you share any links of the stores you bought this from on AE? thanks

        • MJJC
Lucullan make some good stuff too. The quality of their microfibre is as good as some of the Korean made stuff

I bought Autoglym Polar Blaster from Repco for my Karcher K5.
This cannon, normally $100, is on promotion right now for $65 with free Repco membership https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/581774

      • I like the bottle design on this. Same as Big Boi and others. Most lances are unable to sit because of poor bottle choice

  • Would like to know any recommendations of foam gun/Lance to attach to the Ozito as well. Tried the one for Gerni but couldn't fit in Orz

  • Says not eligible for Amazon prime :-(

edit: my mistake. need a minimum of $49

Dont really need 3 but just ordered some other random stuff.

  • This is ok for cars with a ceramic coating?

    • +2

Yes but I recommend using an alkaline based foam like NV Care Snow+.
