    This is the Exynos version

  • Is it worth paying $150 more for 5g & SD?

Too disappointing that Samsung is still successfully playing the game of selling cheap Exynos phones for same price as the Snapdragon ones. Don't know when its gonna end 🤔

    • Exynos is cheaper than the snapdragon ones… or rather, snapdragon is more costly depending on how you look at it. But they are not the same price

Are the phones available in Australia not the same price as the phones sold in U.S? If yes, than why we pay same and get Exynos?

      • +1

Probably means across the board. Many US samsung models don't get exynos afaik. So you're effectively paying the same as other regions for an inferior product. It's pretty slimy, the costs from putting exynos in and not snapdragon should be passed onto consumers. But nope, they charge the same amount + aussie tax etc.

        • Would the Exynos variants last longer on the battery though?

          • @highon2str: Part of the worse performance is an older process node, so probs worse on battery all things equal (both only used on 4G)

          • @highon2str: Exynos generally run less efficient - I think they actually have worse battery life than Snapdragon. On the Snapdragon, you can limit it to 4G, especially if your plan or provider doesn't support 5G anyway.

        • Ah gotcha. They chose a bad example of a deal to post that on since S20 FE has both Exynos and SD available in Australia lol

          • @CodeXD: Yeah, because one is 4G and one is 5G. They're priced differently because of that, not because of their SoC

  • Tell me more about this subscription $50 voucher.

    Please and thank you.
