    Well why every time Airpods deal is targeted to new joiners only ? It is utter waste of time trying the code, creating new account and end up seeing " not valid code" Ebay should stop doing this hide and seek with members.

    I guess they can tell, unless you enter a totally new name, email, address, credit card etc. Oh well, it was worth a try. Leaving plus vote as it may benefit the genuine new users, as this price is a real bargain.

      Didn't work for my partner's account registering a free trial for the first time.
      It appears to be a new trial who then clicks on the banner when it appears. I confirmed it isn't on the home screen or anywhere easily found.

    I bought one. Xmas gift sorted. Worked for me. I had never signed up with eBay plus or even trial.
    It's $50 more than previous offer but still OK.

    Worked for me.
    Logged into eBay with partner's account that's been setup for years but that never signed up for eBay Plus.
    Saw the promo banner on the home page at the very top, in the section with the large banners that scroll sideways. So a few seconds later it scrolled away but you can get back to it. At this point was still not signed up for eBay Plus. Clicked through the promo banner and it makes you signup for eBay Plus first, and then you can choose the AirPods.
    It said on screen only 1,000 units available as part of the promo.
    I guess it's a lottery whether the home page banner appears or not. I don't think the code will work unless you've first been offered the banner and click-through.

    I spoke to a rep for the YOGIFT code since I had made an account and trial for last free airpods (TPLUSPO) .

    From what I recall the guy told me it requires a 60 day old account and some positive feedback ( I think they said 3?).

    Found the transcript:
    "We appreciate your interest with the YOGIFT code and at the same time, I am afraid that YOGIFT is for targeted members only who has 3 feedback and atleast 60 days old account."
    "We can recognised once we are eligible for the said code when it is being displayed on your eBay summary."
    "I checked your account and I am afraid that you have no feedback yet and account is 3 days old still."

    I am assuming these are the same requirements or something similar.

    My recommendation for any future promos like this is to make an ebay account, make some purchases or anything to get the positive feedback score, then leave for like 60 days. And when another offer comes up, get the free ebay plus.
