Interesting that they include SA where Covid is now rampant, but not VIC where Dan has eradicated the virus…

      • +1

A small cluster of 17 positive tests hardly makes it "rampant"

        • -3

All linked to same source and quadrupling overnight.

2 schools shut down. Potential infections at shopping centre.

      • Sometimes i like you, sometimes i hate you.

        • -2

I give up… Which song is that ?

      • Rampant? I don't know how you described an isolated 17 cases in a week rampant.

        • -2

It quadrupled since the previous day.

          How many tomorrow?

          • @jv: @jv: In fairness to SA health, they have better strategies in handling covid. For so long they don't have covid cases, yet when they do everyone laughed at them just because of that small number. Remember they just opened the border? FYI

          • @jv: @jv: Are now an epidemiologist? How did you know?

            • -2

              @YassPantone:

              Are now an epidemiologist?

              Funny you should ask….

I've sent a message to Dan advising him he should close the border to SA before it's too late…
He can't afford another stuff up. He's run out of ministers to sack…

  • No details about what is included.

    • Probably just meatballs…

Yes.. It came back with a Julbord Feast page with a drop-down of "Nearest Store" and you have to determine a time. You have to make a booking from there and NO information about the above menu came up.

        https://imgur.com/a/bA8vDCb

Shouldn't this information be within this post or even on the main page so that people can decide if it is the right meal for them?

        • +1

could be broken for your area, I checked a few others and they all have pretty much the same info

        • Only some stores show the menu. I'm guessing those that don't either don't have a menu yet, or they forgot to put it up. But that gives you an idea…

    Why is this a bargain?

    • +3

      Because it's $5 off

    • +1

It does say 'Save $5' in the title

      • When you got to place a booking, the price is $29.95

        • From the description, i'd say if you logged in as an Ikea Family member then the price is reduced.

          • @Rockgod70:

i'd say if you logged in

There is no option to log in from the link…

            • +2

@jv: Surely you can think outside of the box?

            • @jv: Ok, all my comments thus far were based on assumptions.
I've clicked the link and it says further down the page:
Adult ticket: $29.95 (IKEA Family price: $24.95)
              I didn't log in.

              • @Rockgod70:

and it says further down the page:

I don't see that when I click the link.

                • @jv: All i did was select store, in my case Rhodes, and it was there further down.

  • +1

I think my browser is broken, there are no meatballs listed

    • there are no meatballs

Meatballs is all I can see in the picture of the link…

          sadface

Come up to my place and Live It Up…

        • Creamed Kale?

  • 8th December for Logan

  • I think people go to ikea specifically to dine! Ive always found that odd , but then again I’ve never tried the food

    • +2

My kids love going there for lunch. It used to be good prices, but now they are just as expensive as everywhere else. I'd rather get a decent burger and chips than a few meatballs and mash for the same price.

    • but then again I’ve never tried the food

      Consider yourself lucky…

  • How embarrassing

  • +1

Legend. Kids under 5 eat free, bringing my female toddler crew! =) Thanks OP.

This is probably a silly question, but is this a buffet?

    • +1

Good question - All you can eat and also is it BYO ?

  • What measures do they have in place to control food contamination/ spread of coronavirus?

    • Mandatory quarantine in the store for 2 weeks after you finish dessert.

  • I am so confused….Is this a buffet or we select one of the dishes in each section?

    • In past years (and as the name would seem to indicate), it was a buffet…but there's no news about whether they are doing the same this year, and whether there are any COVID19 measures in place.

I asked IKEA on Messenger regarding the Rhodes event and received the following: "At our IKEA Restaurants, the same measures in place now apply for the Swedish Christmas feast (Julbord). Details about how the service will be run haven't been provided however we imagine the same rules with the current operation of our restaurant applies:
      - Although a buffet, only food coworkers will be able to handle and serve food
      - Customers are required to check in via the QR code at the restaurant entrance and temperatures are taken
      - Social distancing regarding the distances of tables and frequent sanitisation still applies"

  • Did anyone go to this? How was it? Looks like another session is available again.

Is it all you can eat?
