Many categories are still 0%, eg cameras, computers, home entertainment, video games, toys, etc :-(

These change way too often. Prob something for the forums.

Unless it's something that's historically 0%, I agree. For something like video games people would want to know.

Always good to see lots of headphones listed under 'musical instruments'.

      Is mayonnaise an instrument?

FYI, you might want to check the latest update on the Shopback data breach: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/568593

It shocks me that they didn't encrypt phone numbers. How STUPID.

And frankly emails and bank details wouldn't have hurt.

I've given-up on downvoting Shopback posts. Just not worth the effort.

People who use Shopback deserve everything that's coming to them - whether that's $12.17 in payments or a complete ID takeover one day. Karma and complacency are a beautiful combo.

    • Good to know my password is safe, even though I use a randomly generated strong password for every site. Much rather my banking and personal details weren't leaked…

    • Don't ask me why but I had my name, DOB, address and mobile number on ShopBack. Is there anything I should be doing in anticipation of things to come such as calling my banks? I am worried that someone can open accounts in my name and stick me with the bill.

  • Fix their security first. Not gonna use then

I will delete my account once all my credit is withdrawn

    • Maybe just delete the account and leave the credit there. They can then use our unclaimed cashback to improve their security.

Not sure if I'd continue using shopback, no tracking of such for their last promo and missed out another earlier.

  • Will this work on the recent instant pot amazon UK deal?
The purchase is through amazon au?

  • No video games, no deal. :(

Has anyone received their PS5 order from Amazon yet? I emailed them and mine’s delayed so they gave me a $30 credit for the delay.

    • +1

Mine was supposed to come today, but no update for being onboard for delivery yet. I will contact them tonight too… Surprised you got $30 credit, I thought it capped out at $20 that they could give. There was a $30 credit for buying the PS5 from Amazon that can only be used on products sold by Amazon AU, are you sure it's not that $30 you got?

      • Thanks, mine is waiting to be shipped so probably won’t arrive later this week or maybe next Monday hence the $30 credit.

“To help make up for the inconvenience of this delay, I've issued a AU$30.00 promotional certificate to your Amazon.com.au account” You should send them an email to complain you didn’t get it last week when they were released and they’ll probably send you a credit. ;)

        • Oh cool! I'll do that tonight. Thanks.

Everything that is 0.00% (because their grouping is ambiguous some times)….

  • "Mobile Phones & Wearable Tech (Includes Smartwatches, Fitness Trackers, Dashcams, Tablets, Navigation)"

Just had a look Mobile Phones comes under Electronics which is 5.00% ?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/electronics-store/b/?ie=UTF8&node=…

    • Maybe they include the category but excluse the subcategory.

      • This cashback is like a dogs breakfast !!!

  • +1

Poor tracking rate, seems to be a game of chance when I just use the same method to click through every time. They always send the same generic email of possible reasons why the purchase didn't track.

  • +1

    Never gets tracked why bother

  • Amazon's cashback categories are so confusing, cross posting this for both CR and SB.

This item top category is Kitchen & Dining, end of the breadcrumbs is Household and Cleaning Supplies.

So does it fall under SB's
Health, Household Products & Personal Care (Includes Electronic Personal Care, Laundry, Supplement, Cleaning Supplies) 7.50% or Kitchen & Dining 0.00%

    then on CR is it

Health, Household & Personal Care 0.00% or
    Kitchen 7.50%

I assume the end of the line is the category it will go in to meaning SB will apply to this one but CR wont?
