i don't know much about it but if you buy the PS4 version, can't you play on PS5 anyway?
You are correct, I'm pretty certain it won't have next-gen features or frame rates.
that make sense. i'm actually surprised they didn't make this game PS5 / XBOX X exclusive launch title.

Activision will do all things necessary for a profit. Limiting it to next gen consoles would take a huge hit on their sales.
Microsoft and Sony exclusives are usually the ones to do this kinda thing to try push more console sales.

How many exclusive COD things did they do with PS4…? Early beta, early Warzone etc

@spackbace: Oh they have. Double XP exclusive PS events, more weapon XP when in a PS party, certain game modes locked for a year unless on PS.
You can play PS4 version on PS5 as PS4 Pro version or you can pay $10 to upgrade to PS5 version through PSN

I was planning on paying the extra $10 to upgrade but can't seem to find the upgrade option on the PSN store. Any ideas?

Just read Activisions support doc on this, you cannot update the physical XB to XBSX version it'll play in backward compatible mode but there is no upgrade path to Nextgen features.

Old engine, old reused animations, disconnected gunplay. Not worth the price.
how are people finding the game? Most reviews i saw arent promising.
I would give it a miss. The game is causing my PS4 controller to lose connection to the ps4. Only way to regain control is a hard reset. I thought my controller was faulty until I started googling and found out others were having the same issue.
Xboxz are bricking with Cold War.
Full return to MSoft.
$20 jump for ps5, dam… Guess ill wait.
