    • When did you purchase the gc?

My cashback eligible trxn statement says "EG FUELCO + Store number + Location".

    • Same here.

Actually it sells Amazon GC if you prefer. I bought a faulty one and then refunded $50 to my debit card so I got one AmEX $10 for free.

        • How did you know it was faulty and was it difficult to get a refund? Thanks.

          • +1

@Yola: I did not know. The cashier told me.

        • +1

          Same happened to me today.
Bought one GC last week to test, no email but received the credits successfully.

Went in today and bought 5 X $60 Wish cards in 5 different transactions.
Noticed Amazon gift cards behind the counter and asked the staff if I can buy 1X$100 and 4X$50 = $300 cards and split pay $60 on each card and she said yes.

She scanned the cards and processed 5x$60 payments after which there was a system activation error. Manager had to intervene and fix it, i got the $300 refunded to a single Amex card. $40 for free.. not sure what will happen on one of the cards as i paid $60 and received a refund of $300

By the looks of it, Amazon is not setup correctly on their systems and hence the activation error.

          • @SydOzber: Were they curious or suspicious why you were paying for gift cards with several credit cards? Servos are prime places for those people who use stolen credit cards to make purchases so I would have thought someone who goes in buying gift cards and paying by multiple cards would raise the eyebrows of employees. I don't have the confidence to explain it to them that it's a promotion and I'm just a cheapass looking for discount gift cards..

            • @Easy Money: No they weren’t.
Wish gift cards are good, you can load $60 on each and do multiple transactions if you are in doubt

          • @SydOzber: 1st station only got 1 on the rack, which made me think that some people already bought them. After failure, I just thought the single card's issue.

2nd station got about 10 on the rack, but it still falied to be activated.

            • +1

@Neoika: When the manager came to fix the issue, he mentioned to staff something about amazon gift card activation issues… so I think it’s across the board and not specific to a store

  • Anyone had luck using Westfield eftopos giftcard paying off bills at a post office inside the westfield? i was told no i can't do that. i thought if it is eftopos, why not?

    Cheers.

    • +1

You can pay at any post office. Use self service bill pay if they have.

    • I tried twice to buy one and it wouldn't activate. Ended up getting a refund.

  • Does it have to be the actual physical card? Registered successfully, paid using iPhone, is that treated as "third party"?

In doubt because I didn't receive a confirmation email, in previous offers I receive a "thank you" email pretty much straightaway after payment.

    • +2

They mean using Afterpay or PayPal to pay.

      • Thanks. iPhone has a different card number, I hope they can work it out they are the same account.

I wonder if it is due to gift card purchase (StarCash), but no mentioning in T&C.

(Transaction type is "cash card reload", maybe they know.)

I've paid with Google Pay for years and always had my credits come through. I believe Apple Pay is the same.

      • +1

Mrs SS bought a gc using Apple Pay and received the $10 credit.

        • That's good to know, did she get an email after the purchase?

          • +3

@browser: No but there again we got no emails after any purchases for this deal on any of our cards. However all credits posted.

            • @SydneySwan: Thanks for the extra info, will see how it goes.

Might go to an Ampol station and using the physical card to try again.

Last day to use the offer today!

Only ended up buying two tanks of petrol with this offer; the others went to various gift cards like Google Play and Netflix.

    • +1

Thanks for the reminder, I will all in for wish gift card

    • +1

Cheers. 5 tanks so for across 2 cars……$12 petrol plus $50 gift card x2 to finish.

      • +2

No need to be lavish. if you get a Wish gc you can load it with an amount of your choice - $48 to make the $60 target.

  • No credit yet, but this offer is now under "recently redeemed" section, should be all good.
