    • Yesterday around 9am, disc. I'm in Sydney. ETA Monday.
Pretty sure I was one of the first few and had an ETA of 16-23Nov.

  • looks like heaps people cancelled their Amazon 17 Sep orders…

    • Would that mean that my December delivery amazon order will come in November?

      • My guess is very first a few orders placed yesterday 9:00 ish might get the cancelled orders from 17 Sep… cause that are actual stock in Dandy south. But if you haven't got charged than you will need to wait next batch from December

        • I ordered digital version around 11am and Amazon have confirmed I will 100% have it by 23rd…maybe even 18th. They said it will be shipped 17th absolute latest. I believed them.

          • @Agent009: I reckon digital version is another story but same logic. Like yesterday digital was up around 11am. Disc was up 9am.

            • +1

@qzcbmo: Ahh ok, all good. I wish mine would change to "shipped" today lol

              • @Agent009: Good luck mate, I trust Amazon more than anyone else.

        • Mine was marked as shipped today, but coming from PER2 which is usually their Perth Warehouse, its where all the coke zero comes from for me. I hit buy before 9:05am.

Guessing this isn't the stock you mention that is in VIC?

          • @MorriJ: Wait really? I used the "buy now" button and checked out asap at 9:01 but its showing December for me?

            Paypal. Disc.

  • Did you guy notice that at this moment noone is caring about LEGO deals even there are a few good ones up there… So hilarious

    • It's only 20%. Nothing special

      • I remember last time 20% off (no code use) on 75252, someone bought 32 units…

  • While these stupid (profanity) continue making it online only they'll continue to get bots and scalpers and won't be as easy to stop multiple stock buyers. I get they might not want their shops with so many customers but this online only thing is the reason bots and scalpers are making this whole thing a whole lot worse.

    • +1

To be honest. I think bots would not work well when we have a post like this one here. I believe who does want to get one yesterday should have already secured one anyway if they are following this thread.

  • Took my money out last night, no shipping notification yet though :(

    • They are shipping from a few locations and generally process them over the weekend. If you have had money taken, its in the process of shipping, at least you know a console is on its way.

Mine took 24 hours to go from charge to have shipping confirmation and another few hours to be handed to australia post distribution centre.

  • Managed to snag a disc version from Amazon yesterday. Originally slated for Nov 17-18 delivery. Now dispatched and due to be delivered Monday 16 Nov by 9pm. This is in Perth.

    • What time did you receive your confirmation that your purchase went through? and did you pick priority shipping?

      • I purchased at 6:06am my time (9:06am AEDT) and got an email confirmation straight away. I only chose the free standard shipping with an estimated 17-18 Nov date. Priority shipping would have made it Mon 16 Nov, but looks like this batch of orders is getting Monday delivery regardless.

        • Same thing happened to me ordered at 9:06am cart said same delivery estimates like you but then confirmation email swaped to December 18th :(

          • @PostingMan: That's really unfortunate, we must have just been seconds apart on different batches :(

            • @theoracle30: Whats more unfortunate is someone on here ordered at 9:13 and ended up with a launch shipping.

              • @PostingMan: Could be depending on location as well as to who cancelled their launch day shipment.

I got mine during the second wave of cancellations at 1030 am so zero chance for me

        • Ordered mine at 9:06am as well, initial email delivery was 17th of December, then after couple of hours received another email and date was changed to 15th of November. Amazon really messed up the delivery queuing process.

      • I ordered 9:05, but mine was always 17 December. Bizarre how their system allocates things.

    • How is it a Nov 17 delivery? They mentioned that these wave 2 orders were for mid december.

      • +1

I have no idea sorry. Maybe someone cancelled from a previous batch, or maybe new stock was made available. I know it's unfair, but it's probably easier for Amazon to list newly-available stock for sale rather than allocating it to someone who pre-ordered from a previous wave. At the end of the day, it's just luck.

        Proof 1
        Proof 2

        • That's awesome. Congrats mate

  • Seems like Amazon is fulfilling from WA

    • Yep, mine is coming from WA it seems (PER2).

Target have updated their site (they have stock apparently still).
Releasing soon. Please check this page for release timing updates.

      • i have one shipped from amazon also. Ordered yesterday and shipped today but dont have PER at all in my tracking.

        • Mine certainly is coming from the sender PER2. It doesn't say its coming from Amazon anywhere in auspost tracking. For me, it took around a week to get from Perth to Sydney in previous runs. eg this a month ago or so.

  • Did people who ordered around 11 pm ( Amazon - PS5 Disc version) delivery say 17-31 ?

    • 11pm???

      • shit soz 11am. the second wave *

    • No, says 18 Dec :(

      • I ordered Disc version at 9:05am got a delivery 17-22 DEC, then I ordered on JB at 11:01am and got Dec 8th C&C, so I cancelled my Amazon order

    • Mine says 17-31 dec

    Admin please delete

    • Lmao just wanting to clarify I posted i thought I received a shipping update from amazon but it was for a diff item hence I had to delete my comment

  • +1

I ordered from Amazon on the 17th September and I still haven't got shipping confirmation yet. Worse yet is customer support are saying that it might be delayed until next year. Had to complain several times before they could try and lock in a delivery date of 16th December.

How are people getting theirs as early as next week when they only placed the order yesterday?

So what i want to know is if anyone else is in the same boat and ordered on the first day of preorders, but still has yet to receive a delivery confirmation. Really sucks if that's the case!

    • +1

Sounds frustrating dude. :( At least try and look on the bright side and you've got guaranteed stock. Pretty strange Amazon messed it up this bad.

  • +1

Anyone planning to buy any specific monitor soon for the ps5? I sort of keen to go big on something.

    • +6

bro get an tv! i recommend an CX OLED

      • +2

        +1 LG OLED CX

    • I'm planning to run it on TV/Dell U3219Q depending on my mood.
U2720Q could be nice too. It's 60hz but should be fine for 4K.
If you want 120hz gaming, my understanding is that it's for 1080p. CMIIW.

    • Just make sure you don't buy a ultrawide monitor yet as it currently doesn't support it, although they have said it may become available in a future software update.

Mine (17 sept PO) was in transit since last nite. Complained to Amazon chat around 1pm and I got only excuses… then BAM, 30mins later sms from Aust Post: something just came to ur mailbox, please hurry come and pick it up! xoxo

Checked AP tracking was still showing in transit with estimation Monday arrivals. Drove to PO as fast as lightning, The Flash. And there, the bright light sunshining from the humongous box. Finally, gone all those mofo anxious since wednesday.

  • Has anyone messed with the amazon delivery methods to see which delviery options fastest?

    • it pushes your order back even furthur, see reply below

    • I did, my estimate was Dec 17 to 22 Dec after the change it became 17 Dec. Some others said their Nov shipping changed to Dec, so its not wise to change it.

      • Yep learned the hard way
Went from dec 17-31 to we will email you when we have specific time

I'm so disappointed. No warning at all that changing speed would somehow affect delivery

        • Ah too bad, hopefully they will change it back.

The reason I changed it because some comment said their Dec estimate changed to Nov, but most others were not lucky.

        • Mine went from 17th nov to 18th of dec. Lucky got a digital later with est 17th Nov. Not changing that one.

  • I ordered yesterday from Amazon with ETA of 17 Dec.

I changed shipment to priority to get it early which also means extra payment, however it's now saying we will let you know when stock is available.

Does anyone know what's going on?

    • +1

If anything, don't touch the delivery speed because customer support confirmed your delivery will get delayed if you make changes to your order

      • +1

fk. i tried to see if priority would speed it up but it had no affect. I changed it back to expedited asap. Both said Dec 17-31
Hopefully i didnt screw myself :(

        • this (and cancelled orders) is probably the reason some people who ordered later got theirs shipped already. People who ordered early and modified their shipping speed got their order pushed back. Amazons system is really weird

          • @skido: NVM i played myself. Its changed to "We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date."
            Fk me so stupid

            • @OH11: Same here! (profanity)

              • @Camry no headlights: I ordered in the morning at around 10 and initially chose free standard shipping which gave a date of 18th dec-24th dec. so I changed mine to priority to get it quicker and mine changed to get it by Dec 17th. Would my order gets pushed back too? Should I have chose priority delivery in the checkout. Or am I all good to get it by the 17th?

                • @jayboi: Does yours still say 17th ? I wouldnt change it again becaue mine went from having a date to " we will let you know "

                  • @OH11: Yes it does still say 17th

                • @jayboi: I would probably leave it as OH11 said.

@OH11 I have not gotten a date to appear yet either. I contacted support straight after it happened, and she assured me there was still a date against the order, and that I would get an email and tracking id on dispatch… hope it's all good.

              • @Camry no headlights: Has yours changed at all mate? Mine still doesnt have a date

  • +1

Anybody in same situation where ordered from Amazon (9:00 batch), and delivery estimate from Amazon is sometime in December, whereas the AusPost estimate is within a week? (already dispatched)

    • You are lucky.

  • -1

my order on Amazon went from shipping November 17-25 with Prime, I changed it to priority so paying an extra 9-$10 to get it sooner and that magically pushed it back a month to December 17th so went back to Prime shipping and instead of putting me back to November it kept me in Dec but push me to Dec 18 lol.

I rang amazon yesterday and said what the heck is going on because I don’t understand the logic behind priority shipping, It’s for a gift so normally I wouldn’t care at all but to physically pay for an item to be prioritised over the free prime member shipping but prioritising it actually delays it is poor form. The guy I spoke to was very nice and said he would see if he could get it put back to the original shipping date and would let me know in the next few days.

Funny thing has happened since, my order even with me playing with the shipping speed allowed me to track it via the “track” button on my order page, now it just says…

    “Order received
We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date.”

So I’m not sure if this is a good or bad thing or this is because the rep I spoke to yesterday is changing my order back to the next earliest available delivery but is yet to find a console to send. I still have the confirmation emails and I’m assuming if they were going to just cancel it they probably would have already, I’m thinking everyone that got their pre orders through will 100% get one as the pre order page would have been setup with an allocation number ticking down in the background till all allocated orders that Amazon knew for fact it had to sell based on their supply from Sony was met hence the page just goes back to “ Currently unavailable” when this allocation number is hit.

Anyway will see what happens in the coming weeks.

    • There’s a post a few pages back that confirmed that this status was a glitch and if the order went through stock was secure.

  • +3

Honestly though, I think there will 100% be more pre orders happening before Christmas, then as the new year rolls on it will be a matter of looking on here for the best deals or walking into your local and just picking one up in person as the fomo wears off because lets be real here if you already have a ps4 pro or whatever you really don’t need a ps5 right this very second and if your patient you’ll end up being luckier than the rest of us with better deals.

If you’re really patient, next Christmas you’ll probably be able to pick these up with an awesome game bundle for $599 or $649 is my bet, and the way Sony and Microsoft have designed the physical console no doubt there will be some amazing custom art/game tie in consoles coming around like xbox one cyberpunk custom console.

I think either way we wall win whether we fomo out for the fake hype now or wait it out, but personally I’m thinking those that are patient will luck out the most.

    Happy Saturday!

    • +1

Very fair call! Literally the only reason I wanted one so soon is because of Cyberpunk and its continual delay making me suspect the last-gen consoles aren't up to scratch to run it. But yes, for most people, with few launch titles there is every reason to wait.

  • +1

Amazon just messaged me saying my Ps5 coming today :))

    • When did you order?

      • 9:06am on 12th. Received it like 2.5 hours ago :)

    • Deliver on Sat?

      • Auspost delivering Saturdays in VIC, not sure if it is the case

        • +1

Yes they deliver on Saturday in Vic, i have received quite a few amazon packages.
Mine most likely will be shipped Mon/Tue, so expecting by next Friday. Cant wait.
Mrs eyes lit up when i showed her the Ebay listings and wanted me to sell and wait for my 2021 ebgames preorder lol. I said No way!!!
She is not a gamer and has no idea what it means to the gaming community and its not about money.
On that note. Watch this video below, was quite entertaining about a guy finally giving up his PS5 for a 3080 PC rig + Cash.

@hoolahoop: I can’t believe you’ve got your mrs involved with this business… I actually told mine this Bad boy is a new modem and can make our internet super fast so that I can put it next to our TV and no argument.

      • Yes, VIC Saturday delivery, it surprises me every time even though this is like my 3rd parcel on a Saturday.

      • Apparently they deliver Sundays too!
Just got email saying mine is coming today.
        (Perth).

As this is a Christmas gift I’d have been happy with a mid December delivery.
Just happy to have got one and not giving it up tough, (in case I can’t get one later).

    • +1

Are you a prime member? I was one of those prime members (for over 2 years) who changed to priority delivery and was pushed back to Dec, man I just want it by Dec 9th, not too much to ask, GGs on your end (BTW I order it at 9:06am on Thursday morning) so I was in that really early window, sucks to suck aye.

      • Im in the same situation. I called them yesterday and they advised they can't guarantee stock if there isnt a delivery date. wtf??

      • 9.06am in which city?

  • +1

Ordered the digital version from amazon during the 2 minute window on Thursday morning. Eta was 17th but it arrived today! Love amazon to bits.

    • +1

      To which state?

  • +1

Got an email from Harvey Norman:

Please be advised that this is a refund confirmation for your online order. The refund amount may take up to 2-3 working days before it appears on your financial statement.
If you have any questions about your order please contact us.
We would like to thank you for your business and look forward to future transactions with you.

They deducted the money on the 12th, so looks like they just cancelled it.

      • +6

Report them for what and to who? Lol

HN are terrible. Keep an eye out on the Target stock of course, last chance for a while to secure anything i think.

      • +1

Yes they are the last place on earth i wanted to buy from believe me, but after sinking about 6 hours in to trying to get a console i was ecstatic i even got to order one. Yep well there goes that.
