Belong Double Data Doesn't Seem To Be Happening Anymore

Hey everyone,

I've tried setting up my new sim card today and noticed two new things

  1. I can't transfer all my data. I have 40gb in my new account and only 39 can be transferred.
  2. It says my next data delivery will be on the 9th of next month. So, are the days of double data over or will the data still appear in my account in a couple of days.

    From my experience the primary account always has to be left with 1gb of data.

    The rest I will leave up to the great Arthur Dunger

  • I have 63.16 in my account and it's letting me gift 63 to my partner. And in reverse, she has 12.43 and it will allow 12. So for us, it won't let us transfer any <1gb amounts.

    • I have 40gb exactly and it will only allow 39.

  • Activated a $25 plan last week of October. Got 10GB on the day, and got another 10GB on 4th Nov.

    Maybe they fixed the 40GB plan?

    From my "cheat" sheet, billing dates are meant to be 4th, 12th, 20th, 28th of each month.

    Do let us know if you get your next set of 40GB in 3 days time on 12/11, rather than till next month.

  • I haven't activated a Belong sim in a while so not sure.

    If your billing date is really on the 9th then it looks like things have changed because the billing dates were always 4th, 12th, 20th & 28th. See this post.

    As mentioned by sschen, wait until the 12th to see what happens because this is when you would normally get double data if you activated on the 9th.

  • While Kogan, Amaysim both increase data of their plans recenntly, it is unlikely that Belong would move towards shrinking data.

    • Thanks, I used the correct link and got my extra data a few days later. However, even though I got the extra data I can't seem to change back to the $10 plan. Do you know if there's any way for me to get the $10 plan?

    I cant seem to gift data? keeps saying the number is not eligible to receive data even though its my wifes number and she is on Belong. Also tried with a friend also same thing…

  • yeah anyone know what's happening with belong these days? double data, data gifting even referral code appeared to be missing from their website?

      I sent them a support message about the missing referral code and this is their reply;

      Hi ***,

      I understand that you want to have your Belong referral code.

      As I am here for your assistance would like to inform you that the codes are currently not active as Belong has been updating for better customer experience.

      However, if you refer you may get back to us with the number and the name of the person so, that we may validate and do the needful, if required.

  • Today is the 12th Op, so did you get double data?

    • Just checked, no new data:(

      • Strange because comments here say that the billing dates are still the same and double data is working.

          Thanks, I used the correct link found via a comment above and got my extra data a few days later. However, even though I got the extra data I can't seem to change back to the $10 plan. Do you know if there's any way for me to get the $10 plan?

  • Has anyone who set up a new account recently been able to do the data gifting?

  • I had 6.22G on my account, and it will only gift 5G, so I gifted 5G to another family member.

    This is on the new system, so I thought perhaps the new system only allows max of 5G data to be gifted in one day/one go.

    With 1.22G remaining, I tried to gift 1G to another family member, and got the following message:

    You're not able to Gift Data if:

    Your payment is overdue
    You have less than 1.3GB of data remaining
    You've blocked your SIM
    You’ve paid an outstanding bill within the last two hours
    You've recently requested a change plan. You are unable to gift data while your change plan is processed. If this is the case, please try again in a few minutes.
