Its not 4k - listed is: 3840 x 1080, 4k would be: 3840 x 2160
I would call this monitor dual HD, it is like having two 27" 1080 monitors side by side.

Very true - I just picked up the Samsung CRG90 5120x1440 for $1699 so couple hundred dollars more but much better res
same resolution as 2 x 1080p monitors. Strongly recommend to buy 5120 x 1440 monitors.
