  • This lens is one of the worst kit lens' that Nikon have ever made. They regularly sell for less than $100 used. 0/10 do not recommend.

I'd also highly recommend either the D5600 or the older (likely used) D7200 as much better value. The D7200 can be easily had for around $800 and is built like a tank and has all the pro features including many the D7500 is missing. Alternatively, the D500 is very good and only marginally more expensive for sports/action/wildlife (can be found used for around $1,000).

Finally, be cautious when buying Nikon Bodies from Amazon, they may be grey market stock meaning Nikon Australia will not honour your warranty. Lenses have an international warranty.

    • +1

Why is it one of the worst lenses? I have one and use it with my D7100 and have found it to be good. I also have the 35mm 1.8 and that is a cracker.

    • 18-105mm was better lens than 18-140mm lens from what I heard.

  • The D7200 can be easily had for around $800…

Do you have a source for a new D7200 for around $800?

    • think he means second hand, gumtree filled with entry and mid level dslr as people tend to go through phases with hobbies.

That said, i wouldn't buy new ATM because can't claim TRS.

edit: personally at 1500, I'd go for a Nikon z50 for traveling.

      • That said, i wouldn't buy new ATM because can't claim TRS.

You need to go abroad to claim TRS don't you? Can't see much of that happening soon unless it's to NZ.

    • I remember buying one brand new for $825 from Nikon Australia via Work partners

  • Also available as "Body Only" for $1399.95 by selecting it in the dropdown box

  • Go Mirrorless, boys!

  • I confirm. Fuji X-E3 produces sharper and better JPEG photos than my D750 with all glorious and expensive Sigma Art lens. Important difference is the sensor size means big sensor on D750 gathers more light - great for low light situations all the time. The most underrated camera of the decade - Fuji X-E3
