Chromebooks also run Android apps now, and this one uses an ARM processor, so the performance is pretty good. Designed for Web Apps, Chromebooks now do Office word/excel docs either with MS apps or with Google Docs compatibility. 4GB/32GB is barebones storage, but for casual use it's pretty handy. This model gets regular (mostly monthly) updates until June 2024.

  • Please add Auto Update Expiration date of June 2024 to the description.

    • I'm not sure everybody would understand what that means?

  • The CPU is a turd.

  • Looking for a cheap Chromebook (under $400) for my aged parents. They both already have tablets & mum has a mobile. Do people think this is better than the lenova deals? They will literally just browse, email & word. They don't even have internet banking.

    • Which ones, specifically?

      • Thanks for the reply. Ive been planning on buying a lenova c340 or s340 during black friday sale depending on what goes on special.

          Well the c340 has a smaller screen, and the s340 isn't a 2 in 1 / touchscreen.

CPU is pretty much on par with Snapdragon 625 i think…

  • dang, price has gone up

    • Back up to $697, which is the market price. $407 must've been a pricing error which they've now corrected. Deal expired.
