Haven't posted in a while.

Been looking for a cheap hard drive and this seems to be a low price for a 1TB Portable HDD. I personally have had the worst luck with WD HDD so I always go for Seagate, but I'm sure there are people out there who prefer WD.

    I had one about 5 years ago and one day it just stopped working. Took it into a repair shop and they wanted $200 to get the data off.

  2TB for $85 at OW is pretty good as well. I picked up a bunch this week to use as cold 2nd backups for video projects.

  Generally get 1-2 projects per drive, roughly 120MB/s write from an SSD copying a 1.7TB folder with lots of large files.

        Cheapest on Static Ice is $74 for the 1TB and $95 for 2TB for Vic stores.

        So tempted, thanks OP & Mitch889, might not have looked otherwise.
