This seems pretty cheap for a 2060 laptop in Australia.
Screen is 60hz and doesn't have great reviews for colour, but seems pretty standard for the cheaper gaming laptops.

The Amazon Prime day Lenovo deal was a lot better, but sold out pretty quickly.
You might be better off with a lenovo education gaming laptop if you can get it.
This only has a 4 core intel CPU, 8GB ram and a quick google shows it might only have a 250nit screen.
Yeah screen seems to be around 250-280nit from the reviews of other Nitro 5s with 60hz displays.
Lenovo Legion 5 on the Edu store for $1879 looks like a good competitor. Better screen, ram and probably general build quality. But 1660ti vs 2060 and extra $400.
That Prime Day deal was a steal!
It'll play games but not very good in terms of value.
What are some good options available at the moment?
Does the laptop refresh rate matter if I’m always going to be connected to a 144hz monitor? Wouldn’t I still get the higher refresh rate?
It does not matter what the laptop's monitor refresh rate is if you are using an external monitor.
Specifications say RAM is expandable to 32gb so I'd guess like 50 bucks for another 8gb stick and you'd get a pretty solid system for 1500. It's the cheapest I've seen a 2060 by a fair bit although from other comments it seems I missed out on a good deal on amazon prime day.

It's out of stock. I'm kicking myself I didn't get it. I had it in my cart the other night and didn't checkout, the next morning it was unavailable. It's a great price for the specs. Only 1 display model left at Alexandria store if that's anywhere near you
