  • Hey OP in your title you have 32Gig storage, but in your description you say 16Gig.

    • +1

sorry, the correct description is 32g

Rep, does this actually have the required security certificate to watch Netflix? The last Teclast tablet i bought from you guys did not.

    • +1

My money is on not a chance.

    • -1

If you want one to watch Netflix in HD, get a Samsung or iPad.

    • Yes,this support Netflix.

  • +4

2GB of RAM is just really anemic.

  • pretty sure this is the one with crappy screen, get the alldocube version if you want the same chipset but with actually good

  • +2

I use one for Ebooks and a bit of browsing, works OK for that, spare phone if I need it.

  • "This processor is better and faster in playing games and watching videos than the previous gen."

What kind of comparison is it? My hand is bigger than what it was when I was in high school. It does not provide any scale to the comparison.

  • +1

For comparison the CPU is about on par with a Snap Dragon 450 which is found in the Lenovo M10. It isn't going to light the sky on fire, but for 100 bucks you can't really expect too much.

but for 100 bucks you can't really expect too much.

You clearly haven't come across those particular OzB members who expect 4k res with hdr, Dolby surround sound, 32GB RAM, and a minimum of 1TB storage in a tablet all for $100. Any compromise in features and its a no deal.

      • Add Band 28 and NFC to the list please ..

        • +1

          Deal breaker without that.

  • +2

I bought a Teclast from Bangood once. Awful screen and battery life for a start. Lots of software problems.
Would have been far better off just getting a simlocked phone to use as a tablet.

  • +1

Even though its 2GB of RAM, based on the video below and others I've seen on youtube it seems pretty decent. Maybe due to Arm A55 chip. For light use it seems fine.

Ordered from China a few weeks ago at same price, but plus shipping..

  • Hey OP what can you do with the Teclast M40? That is a tablet that I would consider putting my original Tab S 10'5 out to pasture for!!

    • Missed out when it is at 200aud

      • Yeah I.did, but hopefully the OP can fix that for us :)

  • Yer I bought the M30 from these guys, great price and on paper the tablet is a beast, but….

It hangs/freezes randomly and most of the time freezes coming out of "sleep", My missus is not happy about it.

I bought last time, this comes with a weird, non standard, hard to find & pricey charging cable, if your cable is lost or broken you may have a paperweight. Tablet itself is ok.

    • +2

      It's usb c

      • +1

What is this usb c of which you speak?
But seriously which serious ozbargainer doesn't have a bunch of those. Those cheap crappy international chargers are problematic, the prongs of the plug are too thin and don't make contact properly, just use something else.

      • Its not , i tried, specs say micro usb, it is reversible though

        • Mate I have one here. It is definitely USB C. Are you sure you are talking about the same model?

  • Got one last deal. It's fine for kids, plays games pretty well. Good for YouTube and SD Netflix and Plex. If it was for me I'd want a better screen for text use. Happy for the price though.

    • This chipset is good for 1280 resolution, i wouldn't get full HD screen on this, will slow down a lot

  • IMHO better off with second hand ipad or samsung tab

    • +1

I dont know about that, older iPads are pretty bad/slow
