Just installed - I don't reckon it's as much fun as the original game.
No HD version of Mortal Skies 2 for iPad too bad for me.
Time Geeks: Cloneggs, not free now?
Some games have a relatively short countdown. Also, some 'free' ones are for the US store only.

'Lightning Fighter' is better craft shooter than Mortal Skies IMO…
Trying to crack the top 100 with firestorm (hard) at the moment (currently 124/4129.)
If you ever liked 'Raiden' in arcades then this IOS version is basically a faithful clone of it.
Mortal Skies is worth a look. + from me
