Better buying some old quality tools from a garage sale

    • Is this brand no good or something?

      • +1

Brand is perfectly fine, nothing wrong with them. The suggestion was you could get some REALLY good tools for a similar price 2nd hand, but that's the same with pretty much anything in life …

        • Only from deceased estate and estate agents with no idea on the value. i.e. pre-95 Sidchrome wrenches and tools.
They've become sought after and ranges from 20-60 per wrench.

  • Do they make a flex reversible set?

  • Suitable wrench holder? Not a roll bag.

NB: they do skip the 6mm.

  • Looks good but what is the difference with this one?

OPs has a reversing switch. If you aren't fussed for that there are cheaper options from the same brand. Eg this with both imperial and metric https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07GSCZCPM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i…

15 degree offset as far as i can see and the switch as above

    • If not in a rush keep an eye on the 9416 16 piece set, has been had for less than $80 recently.

No reverse switch but I figure it's one less thing to go wrong and not that big a deal to flip it over.

The 15 Degree offset makes a huge usability difference with the use of spanners. If your at all serious about mechanical work, get ones with a reversible switch.
