How do I get FREE Super Saver Delivery?
1. Place over £25 of eligible items in your Shopping Basket.*
2. Proceed to checkout.
3. Make sure your items are being delivered to a single delivery address in an eligible international destination.
4. Select Super Saver Delivery as your delivery option. For more information on delivery rates, see the International Delivery Rates Help page.
5. Select "Group my items into as few deliveries as possible" as your delivery preference.
6. Place your order.**

  • Eligible items are those purchased directly from Amazon.co.uk, excluding gift certificates. If your order qualifies for FREE Super Saver Delivery, you will still be charged a delivery fee for any ineligible items in the order.

** Cancelling items, combining orders, or changing your delivery address, speed, or preference might affect your order's eligibility for Super Saver Delivery.

Does everything on the site qualify for FREE Super Saver Delivery?
Only Books, Music and DVD qualify for FREE Super Saver Delivery. However, gift certificates and items purchased from third-party sellers on Amazon.co.uk Marketplace are not eligible.

Can I add items to an existing order to bring the total cost over £25?
Yes. As long as your order hasn't entered the dispatch process, you can add items to the order. To do this, click on Your Account in the top right-hand corner of the page and open your order from the "Orders" section.

I'd like to have my order delivered to more than one address. Do I still get free delivery?
Yes. As long as the shipment going to each address is to the value of £25 or more, you can get FREE Super Saver Delivery to different addresses in eligible European destinations using our Multiple Address function.

What if I'd like my items to be delivered when they become available, rather than in one delivery?
Are my orders still eligible for FREE Super Saver Delivery?
No. Only orders with all the items delivered together qualify.

Can I set my 1-Click default settings to FREE Super Saver Delivery?
No, but if the order hasn't entered the dispatch process you can change your delivery preference to Super Saver Delivery. To do this, click on Your Account in the top right-hand corner of the page and open your order from the "Orders" section.

Can I get FREE Super Saver Delivery if I redeem an Amazon.co.uk gift certificate?
Yes. As long as your order qualifies, you can use your gift certificate and receive FREE Super Saver Delivery.

What if I cancel part of my order?
If the total cost of items ordered remains at or above £25, delivery will be free. If the total cost drops below £25, the normal delivery fee will be charged.

  • What the? The deadline was 31/10/12 before.

    • Yep, they've cut it back to Jan.

I get the feeling that the person in charge of this in Amazon is a bit of a monkey. Not only have they failed to extend it until several days after it supposedly expired, they now cut back on their expiry date after the fact.

      Doesn't inspire confidence.

Also the delivery time for packages seems to vary wildly; you could get it in a week, or more than a month.

Amazon know exactly what they're doing.

      • Probably get more sales when there is a limited time frame and sales slowed down when people thought they had a year.

  • Hasn't this been posted before?
This has been going on for half a year or more.

    • Last one expired 30/09/2011.

      • They changed it to 30/09/12 on the 1st

      • +1

        Technically it never expired.
They just repeatedly extended the date.

Been posted before. It is in forums. Not a bargain
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/54053

    • Not everyone checks the forums everytime,

It is a bargain, I am many other I spoke to didn't know

      • -2

        Well learn to check forums

  • This has been ongoing since earlier this year (around January or February I believe). Technically, they set an expiry date, but they have always extended it.

  • +3

LOL, dude where have you been?

Technically a bargain, however this post only serves as a reminder to those that have been asleep for the last 12 months or complete newbies.

    • -2

A reminder is good for those who have short term memory. I have seen deals that gets posted again a week after as a reminder and ozbargainers all like it even though it was the same thing.

      • +1

No they get hammered…it's one for the forums at best

        • +4

i disagree, i don't have the time to read the forums, but a skim of the "new deals" page can usually be managed twice a day

        • -1

i don't have the time to read the forums

then get someone to read them for you…

      • +1

If that is the case, then should every continuing deal be reposted every week because some have short term memory?

        • +6

Oh get your hand off it. It's not even remotely that bad - the last one was posted in FEBRUARY for crying out loud, and possibly updated and put back into the feed at the end of July.

          http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/39371

If you can't tolerate seeing something repeated once every 3-5 months there's a serious problem. Where do you draw the line? What about people posting new threads for sites that give a different code every other week/month (e.g. the Staples codes, in recent memory, or Fishpond, going some way back). Does anybody ever object to new threads for new codes, even though it's essentially the same thing? Should those threads all be moved to the forums after the first code is posted?

I can't see how the "seen it before" position can be justified on any level other than selfishness.

        • Perhaps it came across wrong, but I never intended to imply that it was bad. My comment specifically addressed the deals that are posted again a week later which were referred to by ca6leguy.

To be honest, once you become well versed in the art of online book purchases, you can no longer be objective on matters such as these. FYI, I have no issue with the reposting of this deal. Same with the reposting of the Artline vip pen deal.

In any case, I think that the "guides" in the wiki could be more comprehensive and more prominent on OzBargain, and as such, I have edited the "books" entry to include this deal.

  • +1

Saving on delivery = deal imo.

  • On another note, does free shipping count as a freebie?

  • +3

This has been going forever - there's nothing new here.

  • They seem to be playing this by ear, according to the fluctuations in the exchange rate. If AUD is high, date gets extended. AUD tanks, deal gets shortened.

  • -2

Can't give it a positive. Why? Because if the product with free shipping is still more expensive than the same item elsewhere which you have to pay shipping, then what's the point?

For example, I was gonna buy the Star Wars FX Light Saber Darth Vader with removable blade…

On Amazon US its AU$141 delivered ($122 + delivery fees)

    http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Lightsaber-Removable-Blade/d…

On Amazon UK its AU$205 with free delivery

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Force-Lightsaber-Darth-Vader/dp…

  • Amazon rocks. Thanks for posting.
