  • price on title pls

  • $15 postage - that's steep

    • Yes you need to steep your coffee for a few minutes to get full flavour

Reviews call this totally overpriced but a quality stainless steel press for $45 seems like a fair deal plus it has scale and timer built in. Compare this to an aeropress for the same price and this seems much better

Edit : bought one thanks OP

  • Definitely worthwhile at $30 just for the insulated stainless steel.

The timer / scale isn't that big of a feature

  • OOS now.

    $15 towards fancy watches. hmm…

    sold out at this stage

  • In other words, a stainless steel plunger. 🤦‍♂️

A coffee plunger need to be clear glass so that you can see the color of the coffee. Get a Bodum.

    • +5

Why is it a requirement to see the colour?

      • +5

If you can't see something, does it really exist?

        • +4

If the plunger falls into the coffee and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

    • Then you shatter the glass like I did :(
That said I do think it looks nice, it's shame that you can break the glass while putting it in the dish washer if you are clumsy like I am.

      • You can buy bodum replacement glass at most places

I did, and it was fairly expensive.

Probably not that much cheaper than getting actual one on special

          • @iridiumstem: Should’ve bought a Kmart plunger. I got an 8 cup version a few years ago for ~$10, it would've had over 1000 plunges so far and is still going strong. Internals are stainless and can be pulled down easily if you’re into custom wire screens and rotating the lid slightly allows coffee to be poured without it touching any plastic if you’re plastic adverse.

            • @mapax: I reckon the problem I had was more of my clumsy-ness. Though, if I didn't get a glass one to begin with…

Oh well, kinda went to Moka pot then to an entry level espresso machine :P

    • It's coffee, it's black

  • +1

    The bodum glass broke?

At least it wasn't the topum plunger.

    • Ba-dum plunger tish

  • It's back in stock.
