GOUNDREY HOMESTEAD SHIRAZ

Dark red with purple hues the wine displays aromas of dark plum and mulberry with a subtle spice lift of white pepper and anise. The plush, juicy palate follows on from the bouquet with distinct characters of plum and cherry, whilst nuances of coffee mocha carry through with lush tannin and balanced acidity. Subtle French oak maturation contributes to the length with elegant, fine tannins.

Rating on dan muphy 4.5/5 stars (2 reviews only)

      • Not bad for $57

        • how long before it expires?

        • yeah, how long huh?

          • @9hundred: You've got a string of weirdly confrontational comments in this thread.
            Seems odd.

    Ozbargained

    • +1

There is lots of other choice. As above the Barossa Ink is also great value and of course the same wine in the 375ml is also decent value

  • I went the 12pack, this is actually great for all the picnics we'll be attending in VIC this season.

    • Nothing like drinking wine out of a stubby.

  • 6 pack on St Hallett OOS, However lots of other great deals

  • +1

12 pack of small bottles oos too :(. Signed up a few months back for this and it went out of stock then lost the $20 credit as needs to be used within a month I think. Signed up again for this with a new email and oos again so another email burned unless it comes back soon.

  • if you contact them they will reinstate the credit for you. They are a good bunch to deal with

  • Missed the main deal, but $20 off a case of six means there’s plenty of choice. Thanks OP

  • Ordered the Goundrey Unwooded Chardonnay - nice summer lunch wine - thanks OP

  • Missed the St Hallett but picked up some Houghton chardy @$7.6 a bottle. Thanks OP

  • Lots of great wine left at fantastic prices. All include free shipping

    • associated?

      • No, just signed up and bought some great wine, invited some friends - we've all bought, received referrals and every case is delivered free. I have nothing to do with them at all, apart from being a customer.

  • Anything light, sweetish and refreshing for summer that anyone can recommend? Absolutely no idea about wine.
Don't know if red or whites would be better for summer.

    • +1

For what you described I'd suggest having a look at moscato. Also, pinot gris or sauvignon blanc generally fit light/refreshing, but not necessarily sweet.

      • That's fine, thank you, I have place to start.
Will look at the moscatos. The pinot gris and sauvignon blancs will be a good starting point for me. Appreciate the help.

  • My order has been canceled even without other options. Just don't understand because I saw they have stocks left on their website. Trust gone, disappointing left.

    • Looks Dodgy, what did you order and for how much. I've found there contact info:

      [email protected] or call us at +61 (0) 8 8392 2222.

      Worth giving them a call.

  • Anyone received notification their order was shipped?

EDIT: just received an email from AusPost:
Your delivery from ACCOLADE WINES is being prepared

  • Got my wines today. Noice.
