It was incredible at the time.
i played it in 97. Looked absolutely gorgeous at the time. It doesn't seem to have aged well though.
I have the game on CD still.

Thanks. The monkey island series was so great would love a reboot or sequel at some point but seems unlikely now Disney own the ip I assume.
Cant do of the classics any more. Too much PC and SJW compliance.
More like Disney own it and won't do anything with it because it would compete with inferior Pirates of the Carribean IP.

Curse was the pinnacle IMO - didnt like escape as much…even the graphics looks weird…
I remember playing the original Monkey Island back in 1990 and I don't remember the graphics being this good.
They redid the graphics a while back. You can play with either the new or old graphics.

yes. But they are the 3rd and 4th in the series.

Curse was a great game. But it needs a remaster.
Escape was not good.
