$329 for what looks like hammer drill, impact driver, two batts, toolbag etc. at a random costco
Not bad for 2x 4ah (I think?) but these aren’t their top end drills.
Looks like the same combo is $429 at Mitre 10

Not brushless if that matters.
Yeh, brushless makes a big difference to battery life… I'd be inclined to pay the extra for a brushless kit like:
https://sydneytools.com.au/product/dewalt-dck2066m2txe-18v-4…Better deals come up at times..
@FLICKIT Thank you for putting up this link, I am on a hunt for a hammer drill and a regular drill. Do you think this is the best value for money or does it go lower than this? Also would you recommend or know something that's better than this?
I paid $470 for a similar 4AH brushless kit 5 years ago, I've given it a pretty decent workout and the batteries have been abandoned and unused for 6 months at a time multiple years running, and it's still all as good as new..
In the last couple of years I've bought the Brushless paddle-trigger 125mm angle grinder skin for $120, BEST tool EVER… and I bought the 18v (toy-ish)-chainsaw 4AH kit for $299, you wouldn't want to do anything semi-serious with this, but for yard and odd track/road clearing work, it does a fine job… Considering I have 3x 4AH batteries now I can get damn decent runtime out of it all….
There are some great sales at times but you're probably better off looking back through the OzB deals to see if this price is a good one in current times…
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/brand/dewalt..I paid significantly more years ago… but I'm ok with that…
@FLICKIT: Thank you very much for taking the time to explain all of this and for replying so quickly. Seems like this is the set of drill/s I've been waiting for thanks to your opinion. Have a great night :)
What does brushless mean and how is it beneficial? I see it on almost every tool nowadays.
Longer runtime, more power and better tool life (no motor brushes to burn out)
also has smart electronics to control start up current, etc, number of poles, brushed is still used in 240 v as power load, etc aren’t an issue but for battery powered brushless it’s much better. the cost of the electronics is what makes brushless a bit more expensive.
i only ever buy brushless now.
There's no shortage of vids on youtube about this… .. . . .
Cool story. Store and Price?
