Delivery costs more than half the price of the TV for me :-)

Move your house, Delivery will be cheaper :)

          • @Empiresearth: Then pay more mortgage, rates and everything else, no thanks. Would be cheaper in long run to pay the rip off shipping.

Some reviews? Just to shake heads

    Sam Minawieh

    I dont recommend
Sold mine the next day And lost $150 Quality was not great at all! My hisense uled 65inch is 10000times better now i appreciate my old tv so much more Another odd thing i found was The add and onlie say this tv is 4k Yes nowhere on the item, box, booklets say its 4k ???? All it says is ultra HD makes me think is it 4k Based on the qualiry id say no

    • +13

Based on that review it appears the reviewer has very little technical knowledge and probably doesn't really know what a good TV is. His comments could be purely based on the hisense motion smoothing function for example.

I'm not defending the TV, but more research is needed I'd say.

      • +4

I just don't get it that someone even goes to compare a $999 75 inch TV with an "uled" tv.

      • +1

I highly doubt motion smoothing was a factor lol. Cheapo TVs you just gotta go in knowing whether it suits your use case (kids room, dvds/blurays only etc). They have their place.

        • +1

A lot of cheapo TV's have nice panels with bad software, if its plugged into something decent (Computer, Apple TV etc) then you potentially won't notice anything.

Some cheap TV's are poor in general though.

          • @samfisher5986: Yeah, a lot don't too. But as long as you go in knowing it's hard to complain value wise, unless you get a lemon.

    • you mean Shakes heads ?… coherent reviews.. who needs them!

Bought 4 of these to put them in a waiting area 6ish months ago for ~$860
They’re on all day and can’t fault them
Audio is meh but that’s expected, I don’t use the audio anyways
Not sure how long term it’d go but I’m happy so far, and will look at buying a couple more if it dips to $700ish

    • How did you get them for $860? TGG Commercial?

      • Nope, was one of their door buster deals

    • Please report back in another six months and let us know if they're still breathing!

Microled will be out next year, cheaper then oled, most likely 2.1 hdmi compliant, and will over everything oled offers at LCD prices.
Not 100% oled quality but very close to it.
But microled will be dependent on the company manufacturing them, as oled doesn't have a monopoly on microled

    • When will this fabled tech be out?

      New tech usually isnt cheaper

      • LCD isn't new tech, however how it's manufactured makes it seem new, and microled, has far greater capabilities over oled, while Samsung could implement amoled a far superior TV to LG's monopoly on oled, but it's shelf life would be less then 3, years, so Samsung manufactures that for phones.

But next year there will be cheaper oleds, because lg will push out more it's mostly to be manufactured using 10.5 gram cut sheets, rather 8.5, meaning higher prices.

But expect a interesting year on cheaper prices on new tech.
