I was searching for washing machine to buy and seems like prices have jacked up a lot.

I found this Haier HWF75AW2 7.5kg front loading for $530 at Appliance Central and the same machine is over $570 at Harvey Norman and Jb Hifi and over $600 at Appliances online. (only in Sydney metro though)

You can also show the price on this website and get a price match from others.

This price also includes free shipping and installation :)

P.S. I actually got a price match from Appliances Online when I showed this price and ordered from them as I have bought stuff from them and service is really good!

      Yes, it is, Haier is quite good brand and it is mother company of Fisher&Packel.
      But worth to wait until Christmas for a better price as it been priced as $3** many times.

  Might buy a 10kg washer for my next machine - can't load queen & king size quilts and blankets into a 7.5kg washer.
  Taking them to commercial drycleaners cost like $30 per item

      10kg units unlikely to be at $530 pricepoint though :)
      I probably will rely on what Choice mag recommends.
      Sorry I should state I'm not hating on the deal but just commenting out of observation that my quilts and blankets seem to amass huge amount of dust (and mites?) even in just a months time.

        Sounds like that is the symptom, not the problem. Are you airing out your house adequately- open windows to allow fresh air in and stop mould and humidity in the house? Vacuum regularly?

          @placard: I think its the 16 year old mattress thats the cause of dust, and just people in the house shedding skin. More open windows = more dust isn't it? :D

          I very occasionally vacuum the mattress, quilt and blanket. Bit of a PITA with a normal barrel vacuum and having to drag around the short hose and the vac head sticking to the item.
