  • what i saw this same item deal at $30ish yesterday?

    • This is USB2.0. The one yesterday was USB3.0

    • I think that $30ish one was for USB 3.0. I think…

    • Yesterday's deal was a USB 3 model

    • I just got mine (USB3) the other day from Banggood. And now it’s on sale for cheaper!

It works well though. It’s small but seems quality is pretty good. The ugreen logo looks a bit cheap, is all.

  • +1

Have one of these for WFH and love it! Use it for swapping keyboard/mouse from work laptop, to home desktop.

  • +1

Own one of these, it works. Not much more to say.

    Hasnt failed yet.

  • Running a keyboard, mouse, webcam and mic - I assume usb2.0 is enough for my purposes right?
3.0 mainly for higher bandwidth data transfer?

    • Yes

      • Exactly what i'm considering. Just want to use this for sharing printer, keyb and webcam. Should be enough with 2.0? Thanks.

  • If only for mouse and kb any massive practical differences between usb 2 and 3?

Other than data transfer rates…has anyone been inconvenienced not having the extra power output?

  • +1

I only wonder if this USb 3.0 switch can do the same ? $19.99

    • Looks similar.

    • Spec wise looks better but only 1 review. Ugreen is more reputable.

    • from the review:

I bought this to use with my work laptop and personal computer. It was $18 at the time which was well priced and it is comparable to the UGREEN USB switch which was more expensive at the time. I only have the UGREEN 2.0 switch though and this is USB 3.0 though I haven't tested the USB 3.0 function on this device.

Only downside of this is that it only switches to a device that it detects, so you can't switch to input 2 if it isn't on. Definitely not a deal breaker, but the UGREEN switch could do that. Would buy again.

      • I bought from that link I posted above, will write a review to see how I go with it

  • Bought it earlier at full price. Very happy with it.
So convenient to switch between two laptop sharing one monitor. There is hardly any latency.

    • sharing one monitor.

      But this doesn't switch monitors?

      • +1

        Most monitors have two inputs

  • Had this for a few months now to swap peripherals between work and personal PC - does what it says on the box, no issues so far.
Mouse, mechanical keyboard and webcam are connected, functioning without needing to provide external power to the unit (self-power is sufficient).
I personally have applied external power to the unit since then I can charge my phone via USB port on the keyboard whilst at my desk.
USB 2.0 more than enough, don't intend to use this for high speed data transfer.

  • Price went up to $26.99

  • I spent ages chasing one of these down at this price a few months back when stock levels were depleted everywhere I looked (alternative products were $50 or more).

It was so worth it, works like a charm.

Only issue that I've noticed: occasionally, on switching, the keyboard (kogan mechanical) glitches and doesn't register any key pushes, but hitting the sharing switch again fixes it. Likely an issue with the keyboard and not the switch.

  • Oh my god I just missed this.
