Now that's stupid cheap, for what it is.

  • +6

    I don't even want a curved monitor or a 34" and it's still tempting me…

  • -1

Is this 4k? (Or a little less). Just wondering how suitable this would be with the Xbox series a / ps5

    • +1

Brah it's in the title "WQHD"

      Google that.

    • -6

      Does 3440x1440 sound like 4K…?

      • +1

        Thanks…

      • +8

How does 3840x2160 sound like 4k? enlighten me

        • +1

exactly how does 3840x2160 sound like 4k?!

          • +5

@RichieVn: Same way 1920x1080 sounds like “full HD”.

    • +3

I think 21:9 support on a console will not be that pleasing, I can't see the experience being anything better cropped or black bars on the side. I'd stick to 16:9 for a console experience.

      • +7

Thanks bud for your helpful reply.

        • You're very welcome!

        • +1

Look at the 4k dell monitor instead for $330

  • +2

bought it for $535… oh buyers remorse

    • +1

bought it for $630. first batch. wah.

      • -2

A slap in the face bruh

    • Monitor good tho?

    • +1

      Paid 599

      • -1

  • This is getting out of hand

  • +2

    I can't express how much I don't need this. And yet…

Please stop tempting me with this thing

    • -1

What else are you going to spend job keeper on?

  • Tempt me at $450 please.

  • -6

People, watch the reviews on youtube before you buy. Don't be sucked in just because of the curved screen and cheap price. You get what you pay for believe me.

    • +12

The reviews reiterate that its a very good purchase at the price point and that wasnt at a sub 500AUD price point….

Not sure what you are trying to say here man.

In australia there is no competitor to this product.

    • +2

can you please share some links? I've done some quick searches on google and youtube and most are positive within the price bracket. Would really like to find some impartial review?

      • +1

This is the most impartial and complete review you will be able to find.

Hardware unboxed is the perfect monitor reviewer IMO

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hMAw8xCd0Y&t=729s

        • This x100. They have better review/reporting standards than the majority of mass media.

    • -2

      *sheeple

      • Care to suggest a better monitor in the price bracket? I'm all for value here coming from the good ol Korean monitors its no nitro or ultrgear but it uses a dang good Samsung panel.

  • +2

This is a LOT of monitor for the money, I have the Kogan equivalent, virtually identically specced and it's frikken gorgeous. I thought that one was a good deal for ~$650 delivered too.

  • +7

I see this monitor so much in Ozbargain I feel like I need it now

    • i need lots of things because i see them on ozbargain :)

      • Do need it? or do you want it?

  • -5

Sigh, if only this was IPS and not VA.

    • +8

Why stop there? maybe they could include a GTX 3080 too while you're at it.

    • +2

Why? IPS has shit blacks compared to VA and viewing angles aren't as important for a curved monitor as they might be for a TV or something.

IPS is not all rose and peaches.

      • It's 144hz and VA, that's why it's a bit of an akward combo with the current VA panel used on these cheap monitors

        • It uses a samsung panel, probably the same one used in some more exsive branded monitors

          • @dny: I can assure that it's not the one that is used in the $1000+ Samsung monitors

    • IPS is a premium still mate, i should know i paid $1599 for my LG 34GN850 amazing monitor but damn did i pay for it haha.

      • much better response times on LG at least

  • i've been holding out for a better quality monitor, but at this price i seriously cannot resist.

    will be buying.

    • -1

there are only 10 at exactly 8pm and they will be all sold out instantly

      • "More than 10 available"

        • i'm sure they will be sold out instantly like last time

  • G-Sync work ok on this?

    • Yes. It is not officially supported but if you look up online you will see that it works fine.

  • I got on last time for 499. Amazon Prime movies refuses to play in HD. I think this doesn’t have hdcp? Anyone have the same issue?

    • I got no issues playing in HD. Nvidia control panel also confirms both video card and monitor are hdcp-capable

    • +1

that a prime and netflix problem , same as youtube , ( hard to give 21:9 video)
i use this chrome ext ultrawideo

      or you cant get https://github.com/dvlden/ultrawideo

  • Not working for me. With ebay+

    • +1

code is active from 8-9 mate

    • you committed to buy at $599 hahaha!

  • +4

Gotta feel for the the sucker who bought it within the last twenty minutes from eBay! It read 1 sold in last 24 hours twenty minutes ago, and now there are two suckers who bought it @ $599!

  • +1

lol now its 'This item is out of stock.'

    • It is not

  • Is the xcover worth it, see it comes standard with a 2 year warranty. Id imagine its probably not worth the extra 50 bucks

  • guys can anyone confirm we do not need ebay plus? just the code? thx

    • i think you need ebay plus otherwise you will pay $599

  • +2

    bought one

    • me too…….2x 27" Dell monitors about to be retired after a decade!

  • +1

    Got one

  • got one!

  • Got One !

  • Got one! +1

  • Thanks. Bought one successfully.

  • Cheers! Got one!

  • Missed the Dell deals so went for this. Really hope I don't get a stuck pixel.

  • got one

  • Would this be any good for music production? I was thinking I could use it along side my PS4, but I need a new studio monitor before a gaming monitor.

Just trying to decide, and also if I need UW?

    Thanks.

    • Get studio monitors first.

I've got a 43" 4K which works well for running 2 windows of Ableton.

This could work better than standard ratio.

      • Yeah, I mean decent 4k TVs are around the same price. I haven't heard of many people using TV for those purposes lol

        • A 43" monitor, not a TV lol.

          LG 43UD79

  • Could I use this as a TV? I don't use TV channels at all, but would plug in a nexus player / new Chromecast with Google TV in and use that for streaming services.

    • +1

You need speakers. This doesn't come with inbuilt speakers

  • Cheers! Got one no trouble

  • Missed one on the Gearbite page but got one here from Official Store!

    • +1

Same. The Gearbite & Mobileciti stock evaporated.

    • Same here!

  • I also got one, i'd say 30 seconds after 8 :D no confirmation email yet though

    • Says estimated delivery this Friday, that would be ace!

  • 1

  • Seems like they have plenty of stock. Got one, thanks op !

  • got one too! they have more stock

  • lmao my browser crashed halfway through the hearbite purchased thankfully I was able to nab the xiaomi one.

  • you guys are wild, 200 sold in 7 minutes

  • do you need ebay plus?

  • Got one too, dang! $469 for the monitor i didn't need, plus $10 bonus from Shopback plus 5%

<$450 for this monitor is a great deal…

    • -1

      it doesn't work with ebayplus

      • What doesn't work?
