Wish they'd ship from Amazon JP :(

    • +1

agreed, used to get my skincare from there but now they're massively restricted it

    • +7

      I feel you, fellow weeb.

      • +3

        need my body pillow fix.

  • +4

Awesome! Great to see it back again.

  • -2

Well if you know the hack, you know the hack

    • +3

      Whats the hack?

      • +2

Probably to order whatever you need with something else that can be returned to meet the minimum spend….. I think.

      • +35

Order your item and another random item (I like to do something out of stock but it's not necessary), then immediately cancel the item you don't want, and you'll get free shipping on the item you want anyway, and you don't have to wait for the refund on the other item because they only charge when they ship. Been doing it for months.

But yeah, now you don't need to do that.

        • +2

I thought shipping was divided amongst items so if you cancel one product, you still get shipping cost for the other one…..

        • +1

          well, shit.

        • Thanks for explaining this.

But yeah, now you don't need to do that.

This free shipping is only for 2 days though?

          • @WhySoSerious: You're welcome. Hope it works for you.

Yes, so it is. I didn't read how long this promo was (as the last time they did it, it was for months).

        • have you found an easy way to find o/s items?

          • @impoze: There is no simple way as far as I know, but I find they run out of vinyl music often enough that I've never struggled to find something relatively quickly. Sometimes you do need to go into the sellers list of a particular item and add it to cart from the US or UK store, if it's in stock in Aus (or another third party).

As I said though, that step isn't necessary. Just ensures you 100% don't get charged for it before you cancel it.

      • yes

        • Batteries : 1 AAA batteries required. (included)

  • Finally ! Woohoo! Thanks for the post!

  • +9

Thank you! This deal is better than all of the "Prime Day deals" IMO

    • +1

Yes.. not sure if this deal will last for many days or only 2 days.

  • Is this a prime day time limited offer or free shipping from Amazon us / uk here to stay?

    • +1

They do these no minimum promos every now and then, so probably a Prime Day promo.

    • Thanks! Do they offer a promo to make orders GST free too? ;)

  • Order Summary
    Items: AUD 125.88
    Shipping & handling: AUD 7.61
    Total before GST: AUD 133.49
Estimated GST to be collected: AUD 13.34

Still charging shipping. Am i missing something?

    • +2

      A Prime subscription?

      • Never mind, not sold by amazon. Thanks!

    • All sold by Amazon US/UK/AU seller?

      • Yeah, I missed this "little" detail

  • Does anyone know what the returns process is like for UK/US purchases? I've only ever returned stuff to Amazon AU which is super easy because of auspost and free returns.

    • +1

Similar process. It’s free. They use parcelpoint rather than auspost to a nsw location.

    • It's the same, smooth process for returns within 30 days of when an item was delivered, only warranties aren't covered by Australian consumer law: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/help/customer/display.html?node…

      • +1

Are you talking about Amazon UK or Amazon US?

I've just pressed the return button on something I purchased yesterday from Amazon UK (via the Amazon AU site) and it's saying I have to pay for return shipping.

        • Who pays for shipping depends on the return reason and the item.

          • @AaronR: I was talking about change of mind free returns similar to what Amazon AU offers. I assume that both UK/US charge (well in the case of the UK you provide the transit)?

        • +1

If you just give a reason for the return, such a stating that the quality isn't what you were expecting, the return shipping is free (but you have to drop it off and one of their 'ParcelPoint' locations). Also worth noting that they don't refund you the money until it arrives back in America.

  • Hopefully will cover prime day when it hits UK/US time zones.

  • +1

Was hoping to get some Lucky Charms but they don't seem to ship to be Aus anymore :-(

  • Now to get some deals on arctic pwm 140mm fans

  • Thanks OP. Now what to buy

  • I’m confused how this shows up in Amazon Prime Day sale for aud$50, is sold by and shipped by Amazon UK, yet somehow includes $131.78 of shipping costs — Leifheit Pegasus Maxx Air Dryer, Foldable Drying Rack, Tall and Stable

    • Looks like Prime lighting deal from Amazon UK doesn't apply to the free shipping
but if you add the normal price $95 one it included free shipping

      • +2

The $95 is from Amazon AU.

Reason for the high postage is due to the shipping weight of the item. There is a threshold for an item to be included in Prime International Shipping or not. I haven't quite worked out what that threshold is or how it works, but generally big and bulky items are excluded.

  • Does it mean for this deal, I need to sign up to a free trial of Prime, is that correct?

    • Yes,you need to have Prime membership.

  • Is it only limited time?

  • their expedited shipping is roughly 10-14 days, so not all that expedited.

    • +1

Expedited shipping affects how fast it leaves their warehouse and ships, it doesn’t offer a higher class of postal service once the item ships internationally. For domestic items though you will often receive next day delivery because they use courier services for addresses near Amazon warehouses.

  • Thanks OP :)

  • first time i've ordered from amazon uk - who are apg express and how fast are they?

  • -2

    • The promotion is valid until 15th October 2020 23:59 AEDT.

Can any clever person please translate this to Australian, thanks

    • +3

When the clock strikes 12, Mr Bezos will tell you to bugger off.
