    A Dynamic Condenser mic?

    • sorry, that was a typo :-)

they are sold out already at Store DJ

    • Also same price at Brisbane Sound Group (in stock). These appear to be reduced across the board in anticipation of Prime Day, so chances are any retailer who's paying attention to their suppliers emails will probably reduce their price shortly.

      Edit: also at Derringers.

      • The neg seems harsh.
The price has dropped at several stores and Sounds Easy is currently one of the few with stock at the cheapest price delivered (both Store DJ and Mannys are out of stock, leaving BSG and Derringers) and is currently 28%/40%/49% better than other competitors at this moment in time.
Maybe prices will shake up tomorrow, but until that happens this is still a deal.

        • Maybe a better post is "Sennheiser reducing RRP on selected items" which seems more transparent. Negs aren't harsh, they are how the community responds to whether or not something is a bargain worth taking up our eyeball space.

  • Save almost 50% RRP

While that may be true according to Sennheiser's RRP it's a bit of a deceptive statement as to how much you are actually saving compared to other stores. Close to every single store are currently selling it for under $500 and, as noted by Ghast, Store DJ (and other stores) have their RRP for it set at $459.

    • it's not deceptive, the RRP is set by the manufacturer, in this case Sennheiser. It still presents significant savings from the regular street price and the lowest they been in a long time. Will be gone before you know it

  • The original version was truly a classic. Good to see them making this still.

  • Anyone tried acoustic guitar and vocals using the MD 421-II? Or is this more of a percussion and broadcast mic?

    • Live or studio?

      • Can be used on both live and studio applications. Is used on vocals in live applications. it's a dynamic mic so you need to sing into it pretty closely. The MD421 is also great on kick, toms, guitar amps, bass amps, sax, It's really a very versatile workhorse type of mic.
