  • About the panels – Jinko Cheetah Plus JKM370M-66H Mono – A very popular panel from Jinko at the moment, only 18 panels to build a 6.66kW system. Good for small roofs.

  • About the inverter - Growatt MIN 5000TL-X - The 5000TL-X is the current model that comes with WiFi to allow basic remote monitoring on your phone or computer. This is so you can check on the system anytime, anywhere. The actual unit is very compact too.

    • How long is warranty on the inverter/panels.
      Are the panels self cleaning?
How much if I'd rather go with the fronius inverter?
How much if the main power box needed upgrade?
How long have you been installing these?
      What racking is used?
      What gauge wire is used?

      • How would racking and gauge wire comes into the equation? Havent got much experience on this and will appreciate some info

        • All the cabling used is 4mm. The racking used is all A/NZ standard and has a 10 year warranty. Everything used is up to specification as required.

        • Get researching :)

          • @Slippery Fish: mine was done on 6mm cable. Had a 12 pole switchboard upgrade done for $850 (my switchboard was really old like 70's). 50 amps circuit

            • @azhar7772: We use 6mm on some jobs where there is long run from the panels to the inverter.

Hmmmm… I wonder if there's other installers reporting this deal as spam?

Scott and his team did an install for us at the start of the year, going very nicely.

Thanks PinzVidz! I just saw that a moment ago - looks like the mods have already dealt with it as its now gone.

Scott and his team installed systems for myself and two work colleagues over 12 months ago from an OzBargain deal. We are all very happy with the systems.
I just received my power bill, system generated 1,870 kWh last quarter.
I have no affiliation other than as a happy customer.

    • Thanks very much for that Gres.

  • sorry i'm new to all this…

so this package is just for solar panels + inverter to send the generated energy back to your electricity provider for $$ right? there's no big battery (like powerwall) to store for peak hours use etc?

    • Yes, Railgun - this is for the system as you have described. You can put a battery on later if you want to do that. If you would like to find out more send me a PM. Scott

      • Thanks for the reply, Scott. How good are the credit rates? relative to what they charge you. and does it also fluctuate like Peak/OffPeak?

        • Yeah hi again Railgun, this is actually a cash deal, but please do call me if you like to discuss other options. Cheers Scott

          • @Scott-M: Hey sorry I meant the credit from the electricity companies for sending electricity back into the grid?

@xrailgun: Gres, is on to it, here is the site I usually refer people to, to compare between the various retailers: Energy Made Easy

I pay 20c per kwh and receive 11c per kwh.

    plus the daily supply charge.

last quarterly bill my system generated 1,870 kwh, I received $205.70 credit against used amount.

it very much depends on the buy and sell deal you can get, all suppliers have different deals.
