Use this myself and is a decent unit. Washable (Not waterproof though) and 75min run time on a single charge.

Combine with current Cashrewards promotion for further 15% off, making it $45 delivered.

Phillips use the tactic of releasing multiple naming conventions, colours and shapes to confuse the market (like the majority of those within the haircare industry) which is annoying, but here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MypIrlPDoho&ab_channel=Flanc… is a video of a similar unit.

Another review based in the UK from March last year is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bhn1L19YHY&ab_channel=Russe…

You need to get a $10 for $30+ purchase coupon by giving your email

I bought these 2 months ago and are fantastic. Its like cutting through butter with a hot knife. Easy to clean and worth every cent.

Second that. Bought it 2months ago. Used it twice and hasn't missed a bit. Quite sharp and cut through smoothly.

    • When y'all say cut through smoothly. Are yous cutting through thin lite hair or thick and bushy hair?

      • +3

I have thick asian hair and I also just got this unit a couple months ago and am blown away by how much sharper it is compared to the standard Wahl's & Remington's that I have used previously which always needed a couple passes.

      • Are you enquiring whether the clipper performs in more intimate areas?

  • +2

I can confirm the welcome $10 takes it under the free postage, making that an additional charge .. also as it is technically a coupon, it may result in the cashreward not being payed out.

  • +1

Technically not a bargain, the saving is like $5 on the RRP.

However, reviews are all 5 stars bar 2 and one of those is a mistake because it raved about them.

  • bought mine from bigw. @ 39.95.

    its the best

Bought it and got CR email straight away.
However in CR, reported purchase price only $39.10 which resulted the cashback amount only $5.86..
    Anyone else got the same?

  • +2

Same price,$53.95, at Amazon Au link

    • Thanks! I bought it through Amazon and managed to get it down to $43.95 using $10 off code on Amazon App

  • Yes my purchase price came in at $39.10 as well. the cashback is capped at $25 and I didn't use any coupons so I'm not sure what the issue is either.

  • Note: This is different to the Philips Series 5000 Beard Trimmer, which is different again to the Philips Series 5000 Multi-groom. I think of them all, the multi-groom is the most versatile, but has shorter run-time on battery.

Brought this a month ago, made it so easy to cut my hair, it's got built in length adjustment, making it easy to adjust the hair length on the fly.

    • But where did you bring it?

  • Do you guys cut hair by yourself? I find it very difficult for the top and back of head

    • +2

DIY is hard to get as good as a good hair dresser because all we can see is 2D in the mirror. My hair grows quickly so I can experiment every 2-3 weeks and practice makes it better. I think I have been cutting my own hair for 5 years now and saved tons of money and time. If you have a partner that you are willing to get her to have shot on your head and give some feed back may help.

I started cutting earlier this yr due to lockdowns and most likely will continue. I like my cuts better than the barber.
I use electric clippers, thinning scissors and normal scissors.

but yeah i get my wife or mum to help cut the back to make sure its straight

      • where's a good pair of thinning/scissors?

  • Bought model up from this one - Philips series 9000 HC9450. Best hair clipper I've ever had.

  • Unrelated to the product but has anyone else been waiting upwards of 20+ business days for their parcel from Shaver Shop to arrive or am I the unlucky duck :-(

Have had 10+ parcels over the past month all using AusPost come in time or be out by a couple days of the ~week estimation but nothing like this, ever.
