Been wanting to buy the Dell S2721DGF for a while now, missed out on the previous deals. However, today I was able to get it down to $645 from $799 using these two coupons. Not as big of a discount as the previous deals but it’s better than paying full price.

Should have got a second for $505. Oh well.

    • When was it $505?

      • August when the monitor first dropped

  • If anyone has a coupon they got with their order, I would be happy to take it. Please send a pm :)

  • (profanity) I didn't get it last time cause someone commented that it would come back lower lol.

    • Might come down lower in price soon, the US website has it (S2721DGF) for 25% off currently. Meanwhile the AU website has the S2721HGF for 25% off, so maybe in a couple weeks the deal will makes its way to the S2721DGF.

It already has gone on sale around $500 two or three times, there will be more deals. There will also be competing deals soon enough.

      • Yeah I think I'll wait. My xurrent computer can't even run high FPS at 1440p anyway lol

  • +3

The $510 deal will be making another appearance at the end of the month according to LiMaaaa. Most likely another 500 units.

After I missed out on this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/566872
cannot afford any price over $239.

This monitor is not the same as the monitor you have linked. The DGF is 165Hz, the one you have linked is 75Hz

    • Not the same, but maybe @Junny Pang doesn’t need 165Hz

      • correct, 27'' 2k is fairly enough for work

Beware that there have been multiple defective units sent out. My power went after a tad over a week and Dell have been a nightmare to deal with.

I waited nearly 2 months for the monitor, it died after 8/9 days and then I spent a week speaking to a number of dell reps and now it’s a further 21 business days for a replacement to be sent out. I was offered a refurbished model immediately, but I wasn’t keen on that given it was only in my possession for a short amount of time.

    Caveat Emptor.

    • My unit has been great so far. But it is expected that there will be defective units.

Considering the number of units they are moving, their resolution is good.

Compared to Acer, Dell is being amazing. My in warranty Acer monitor developed a dark streak down the side, I sent it in for assessment and it become cracked in their possession and they refused to fix it. it was in their possession for over 60 days, and not once did i receive a call from them to tell me what was happening. Consider yourself lucky

  • Got one from the last deal for $510, beware of stuck pixels as I had 2 of em on my unit and now its taking ages to get a new replacement.

    • Pretty good monitor otherwise and I would say be patient as this will drop to $500~ again soon enough

  • Why no monitor deals with in built speakers? I want the option of earphones and speakers.

    • +5

Why not just buy a pair of speakers then? Huge waste of parts to ship thousands of monitors with speakers only to have 95% of them sit in the box unused.

  • pm me, can help someone pick the monitor up for less than the price above

I ordered from the previous deal and got the monitor in 1 week to Victoria. Amazing monitor. Really happy with the purchase.

  • Ordered from last deal around 510, 2 monitors, both have problems.

One with serious white back light issue on the edge, the other one come with a stuck power button….. Rep told me they can only get new parts till mid-NOV, not impressed but it the new units arrive in good condition I guess that's OK…

    • Hey man. I was wondering since you got two monitors if you had any left over advantage codes? If you do would you be willing to let go of one. Dm if you do. I'll provide my code if I get one to other on Ozbargain.

  • I ordered mine in the previous deal too ($594 something I believe). The monitor arrived in less than 7 days. Everything went well and I think my sample seems good with minimal IPS glow at the corners and no light leakages. The only problem is slightly lower contrast ratio compared to my Aorus AD27QD. I don't have a proper colourimeter but using some ICC profiles and custom RGB settings seem to yield pretty good results. For some reason, my games look a tad bit 'brighter and washed out' when put side by side. This is with the stock ICC profile and other ICC profiles.

Any have the same experience? Other than the contrast, every seems to check out. Now I am thinking of pairing this with a proper colour accurate monitor for WFH. Any recommendations? I guess to pair it nicely it should be 27" 2560x1440.

Thinking of getting this too but after reading comments about bad units, I don't think I can deal with waiting for the monitor to be replaced.

    • I wouldn't be too concerned about the vocal minority, DOA devices happen, but they've sold an absolute shitload on here and only a few had issues.

    • -1

the whingers seems to forget there was a 2 month delay getting the monitors in the first place (due to the GLOBAL pandemic) and are now 'disappointed' if their monitor has an issue and it isn't fixed or replaced immediately. SMH entitled twats.

      • Anger much? Of course anyone who purchased this monitor and had it either arrive DOA or die within a week or so is going to be not only disappointed but also vocal about the experience.

2 months for the thing to arrive and another month for a replacement, with no guarantee it won’t shit itself within a week again.

I would most certainly proceed with caution around this monitor as Dell seem to be pumping them out at the lower price point without any QC at all.

    • I got mine from the previous deal. Arrived within 7 days to QLD. It’s an amazing monitor. No issues.

    • The complaints about black level uniformity are a bit worrying, seeing as multiple people have spoken about it here and the review unit on rtings.com also exhibited really horrible black level uniformity.

The S2721D that is half the price has much better black level uniformity and a greater contrast ratio as a result.

      • Rtings loook

  • Finally reviewed by hardware unboxed and the verdict is this is a top monitor.
