Logitech G Pro X WIRELESS Lightspeed Headset $298 + Delivery/Click and Collect @ Harvey Norman

130

Long time lurker, first time poster, my apologies if there's anything wrong

I've been on the hunt for one of these for a while and it seems that $298 is the cheapest it's ever been and about $50 cheaper than the next cheapest retailer

There's a bit of a premium for wireless headsets, with the retail being close to $400

Shipping to me in metro Melbourne was $7.95 with my closest store being out of stock, shipping cost may vary depending on your location.

Please comment if there's any further coupons/shopback deals that would make it an even better deal!

Thanks

I'd also welcome discussion of alternative wireless headsets for gaming/general use! Hard to judge from reviews these days for what to get

Got the Razer Navi Essential for $108 off Amazon last week. Pretty happy with it so far.

    • +1

If they're on sale, these are your options:

      Cloud Flight - $130-$150
      Arctis 7 - $130-$150

      Otherwise, Audeze Penrose on a $400 pre-order.

Basically wireless gaming headsets are garbage in terms of audio quality, so you should be paying the bare minimum for a mid-level headset to get the most value you can, otherwise get something properly nice that's good for both music and games, as the Audeze should be (it's based on the Mobius).

A fair few headsets will be on sale for Prime Day.

      • Up this because of the recommendation of Audeze (Plantar Magnetic). If you have the money for it and can wait a little then grab the Audeze Penrose.

        See: https://www.rtings.com/headphones/learn/dynamic-vs-planar-ma…

      • I preordered the Penrose based on someone's comment on here from another deal. Heard of Audeze, but not Penrose, and didn't know they were dipping into the gaming market. Glad I read up on them.

      • Does the Penrose being wireless make it inferior to wired counterparts with regards to audio quality? I just have this thought in my head that wireless audio is subpar vs a good wired setup.

        • It's lossless wireless, so there's no issue of a significant quality drop. The only potential drawback I've seen for the Penrose is that it doesn't support audio via it's USB port ala the Mobius: it only offers analog wired via 3.5mm.

This shouldn't impact most people though, because I assume they'll either be using it wireless (and charging it regularly), using it as a bluetooth headphone, or using it as both simultaneously.

        • Short answer: no.
It uses a 2.4ghz dongle and is lossless, so it won't have the same issues as Bluetooth.
          It does support Bluetooth, though.

      • Do you have a pair of the headphones you are recommending or tested them.

        • Check out reviews of the Mobius if you want an idea on how they perform. It and the Oppo PM-3 (now discontinued, but revived via the Drop x Panda Wireless) are seen as some of the best value closed backs in the audio world.

          • @jasswolf: So you don't

@Melb69: I've tried them before, I just can't be bothered dealing with your attitude any further. :)

Plenty of resources online, they're well reviewed, and even if you're in Melbourne you can audition them soon enough.

Feel free to come back and call me a fool in due course.

      • im waiting for prime day to potentially get the HyperX Cloud Flight S Wireless or Arctis 7. How do you know it will be in that range?

        • +1

Check the price history on this website. That being said, the Flight deals were for the original model, but the S has been out for about 9 months.

  • Would've been good to get it yesterday with Latitude pay to get a further $50 off

    • Damn! That would've made it a really good deal then, do you know when/if Latitude will do that again?

What the heck is a lightspeed headset?

    • +2

It's the marketing around their wireless tech, same thing on the mice. It's meant to be "lowest latency possible".

    Light speed my ass hahaha

Using these for the last 2 months, pretty happy with them. Swap out the cups to the velour and they're super comfy

  • helping ensure your voice is sounds clean, rich, and professional

Does it make your voice sound like Martin Luther King Jr., Obama, JFK ?

I have the wired version. Great headset. Mic is excellent, SQ is fantastic with some tweaking in GHub

Saw a few reviews of this wireless version that said the mic is crap and nowhere near the quality of the wired set.
