  • These are good for the money. Just watch out for overheating when sitting idle.

I had a similar problem and left a message on an older deal on here. It turns out that they forgot to put thermal paste on some of the chips and it didn't make contact with the heatsink and bracket:

On mine, the top blob of thermal paste made contact with the shield, the right chip didn't make contact at all and the one I circled in red was completely missing thermal paste which caused those two bottom chips to never be cooled down effectively. I put thermal pads on each chip to make contact with the shield as seen here: https://i.imgur.com/Vg0DWTb.png

  • When is v2 coming with better camera?

  • Waiting for $99

  • The reviews are not so good about video quality. Quite a lot of them complain about frame skipping video.

When the guys site is working you can buy them here for $85 - https://lettronic.com/product/dji-tello-drone-white/

Yeah if you want to throw your $85 away and hoping for a Paypal dispute.

    • Beware. I have had to put in a dispute with Paypal after seeing this from the last deal (and so have others too from what I gather). 2 weeks on and no response from the seller. Website got taken down after we all made our purchases. Dodgy receipts sent.

Xiaomi Mitu is better for video. Mitu has onboard storage, whereas the Tello relies on wifi transmission, so the video ends up choppy. Cheaper too! Bought one for $50 on eBay. Plenty of comparison videos between the two on YouTube.
