Sorry, but I fail to understand the deal aspect of this post. Could you please edit the post so it's clearer.

    • We are offering free delivery on all Rinnai units

  • You need to show the price on the title mate

    • A price for some example units, plus an indication of what shipping usually costs would be good.

        Updated 😊

  • Hi rep, does This model have heating built in too or just cooling?

    • Hey mate, yep does both heating and cooling.

Just an FYI of a split is advertised saying reverse cycles means both heating and cooling

      • +1

Can you do a better deal on that model? really interested in getting one but want one at maybe $1,000, If you can make that deal possible I will strongly consider buying one.
Pretty highly priced and free delivery wouldn't make it a deal IMO

        • +1

Cant go that low as it is well below cost but we are working on an OZB discount which will be updated soon

          • @kerim86: Ok thanks, will be interested then when the OzBargain discount comes up

  • Is delivery such a big deal?

    • Ye mate. Specially being heavy and buly units, can range from $50-150 dollars depending on location, size of unit, qnty etc

      • Your website says delivery is capped at $50…what you playing at?

        • For melb metro only

  • +1

So you save $30 bucks for delivery?

    Thats your deal?

Deals a deal mate. Better than paying $30 for delivery?

How much are typical install costs for a 2.5kw model?
Brand new install, I have no existing aircon.

    • curious as well.

    • Starts from $700+ depending on install, including materials and mains electrical

  • So if these are Chinese made units, where are the big brands made?

    • China

    • +2

      Some still China, Thailand, Japan

  • how do these compare to say fujistu or panasonic

    • For the price they are very good units. Quiet, efficient, reliable

      • +1

Rinnai has a lot to catch up on the quietness metric. Noise level for 2.5kw indoor unit at low fan speed is 31 dBA, significantly higher than other competitors at 19 dBA.

        https://ecoluxappliances.com.au/collections/rinnai/products/…

        • Could be because Rinnai have a higher air flow rate than the competitors. Competitors tend to keep airflow rates lower to keep the noise level down

    • Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is meant to be pretty good (not Mitsubishi Electric which is different)

      • +1

Correct. MHI are very good. We also sell/install quiet a lot of MHI but with current prices and bunnings price beat, cant really compete

  • Is the wifi tuya based?

    • Some models are and some aren’t. But i think these newer models might be as they all use the same generic apps

      • Do you have more details off that?

        • J model (Newer) is better than Q model which OP is selling. Also J looks much sleeker than Q.

          • @klownvandamn: OP how much is the J Model

            • @asa79: Rinnai J Series is only sold at Harvey Norman, exclusive to them

  • +2

Got a 2.5kw and a 3.5kw a few months ago. Blow a lot of cold air. Much better than our other Fujitsu splits.

I like the Google home integration and ambient temp

The AC freedom app itself is a bit lame.

Paid much cheaper but the price difference between the 2.5 and 3.5kw was much greater.

    Overall recommend

    • Great to hear your feedback 👍🏼

  • Hi,

I am not sure how big on kw should I consider for my living room which is 7m×8.3m? 5kw or 7kw? Can someone please suggest?

    • You would need min 7kw
General rule to calculate, area sqm X 1.2 = required kw

some good examples of how to calculate the size required

    • +1

7kw for the usual badly designed and badly insulated Australian home. Potentially much less if well constructed.

      • Thanks for the link and reply

  • How much is installation in Melb?

    • Starts from $700+ depending on install, including materials and mains electrical

  • Do the copper pipes supplied come pre-flared?, so all you do is connect it and tighten to the specified torque, then perform an evac vacuum leak test, if all good open both vapour and liquid valves to release the refrigerant and you're set to go? asking for an aircon installler mate

    • No copper piping is supplied. For warranty, it would need to be isntalled by a licensed installer.

  • Am curious as to how well the heating works on these systems. Have some old gas wall furnace style heaters I'd love to remove. Have been looking to update air-conditioned unit so the reverse unit option is ideal. BUT have heard the heating on these units can be expensive and inefficient, even when compared to say my old furnace style heaters? Anyone had experience?

    • Heating works pretty good.

Efficiency comes down to gas vs electricity $$$.
But in general most air con units sold in Aus are pretty efficient, due to the very strict MEPS that manufacturers have to meet
