Even though it was posted in the catalogue deal, I thought this deserves it's own post as they are really sought after and popular.
This has not been discounted by the super markets for a long time and Amazon prices usually don't go this low.

arg! just bought from amazon start of the week - hopefully they will cancel the order as not yet shipped.

Is that low? Exactly the same product sold at Aldi under Aldi's own Tricare brand is $2.75 for 1L.

    • +2

Is it actually the same product?

      • How many companies produce liquid soap in Australia and use exactly the same shape bottles?

Flavors are different, so and plastic wrapping of the bottles, everything else is identical.

        • +1

According to product images, these Palmolive soaps are made in Thailand.

          • @Plutonus: Not sure it justifies more than doubled price. But … it's up to you after all, if you want pay more you most certainly have all means to do it.

          • @Plutonus: The comparable hand wash at Aldi is made in Malaysia

@Plutonus: Even more reason to buy the local ones

Paid 22c more per bottle with Amazon and they shipped the next day… feels

  • Anyone know if this is antibacterial?
Dettol has it emblazoned on all their products. Didn't see anything on the Parmolive bottles.

    • +9

Any soap kills bacteria. It's really just a marketing gimmick.

    • Lime, sea minerals and white tea are antibacterial

      • They aren't soaps.

        • Technically detergents. I switched back to bars recently, so much better and also cheaper

Is the the hand wash you can make into foam with the correct ratio? Do you need to use a special foaming bottle?

    • +2

Trial and error. 3:1 seems about right.

      • Do you need those foaming bottles or do regular pump action bottles work?

        • Yes, you need foam bottle to squeeze out as foam

      • +1

Tried that ratio, foam seems to be a bit thin not thick and concentrate enough, I did 2.5:1 instead

    • +1

Also make sure you use the clear ones like Lime and Sea Mineral for foam mixing, using milk & honey will create lots of residues floating in the bottle and looks disgusting

  • +2

Amazon has price matched it and has s&s for further discount

The Coles Sensitive Antibacterial Hand Wash (https://shop.coles.com.au/a/richmond-south/product/coles-ant…) is great and the only Australian made generic hand wash I have found. I personally prefer it over Palmolive - cheaper, suitable for sensitive skin, Australian made and antibacterial

    • $3 everyday price and Aussie made gets a +ve vote from me.

Your comment has henceforth made me buy hand wash refills from Coles
