Not sure why this isn't allowed

The L plates, plus you showing doubt in the description signs you up for hate/downvotes/reports, unfortunately.
Not useful for me personally, but thanks for sharing!

        • +1

ahh okay. I need to redefine what is considered a deal then I guess. Thanks

          • +23

@ghostgirl23: Nope, this is the same sort of thing as the listerine deal you linked - which people were perfectly happy with - but you just happened to give angry people an excuse for venting.
Keep at it, leave out the doubt in your own bargain finding abilities, and ignore the haters!
            Cheers.

@ghostgirl23: Your deal is fine, it's a benefit and some would consider it a bargain.

            Perhaps refine your layout?

You're title should say 100% cashback.
            It's technically not a free deal, it's a cashback one ;)

I would remove redundant info, break it down into steps and just link to the tos at the bottom.

@LiMaaa: Thank you. I will edit it. It also can be used as a preventative spray it says on the back. I will add more info.

@ghostgirl23: Interesting, your comment inspired me to google into allergies. I actually didn't know you can develop hayfever at any point in your life. I'll be more cautious next time I go snorting a bee off a flower. ^^

                • +1

@LiMaaa: I got allergies for the first time in my life this year. It is interesting.

                  • +1

                    @ghostgirl23: Life is amazingly weird.

Also please change 2 to the following so people don't goof and claim it early.

                    1. Must use for 14 days BEFORE claiming cashback.

Otherwise deal is much more readable and direct now. Nicely done.

Thank you person who hasn't posted a single deal in over a decade on this site for your advice on what is or isn't a bargain.

    • +3

Are you going to poopoo every product cashback deal now just because Coles/Woolies has a satisfaction guarantee, even though the supermarkets actually require you to talk to the service counter, show them the packaging/receipt, to get the refund? They're two very different things.

      • +4

Yeh I felt it was a pretty brain dead comment too.

    • The terms and conditions do confirm it is a satisfaction guarantee:

      Eligible Claimants:
To be eligible to claim the Cash Back, the customer must purchase Telnasal Allergy Spray (“Participating Products”) from any store (“Participating Venues”) displaying advertising for this Promotion during the Promotional Period (“Qualifying Transaction”) and use the product, as instructed for 14 days.
If, after 14 days of using the Participating Product as instructed, the customer is not completely satisfied, they are eligible to claim the Cash Back.

    • Huh… you get cashback even if u are satisfied.. whos gona know otherwise. If u take stuff back to coles you have to surrender the remaining product

    I don't have allergies, damn. :/

I was just sitting in my backyard in Melbourne today and my nose started to run. Think I will get it! Thanks.

Need to be unsatisfied to claim the cash back

  • +2

So you weren't happy with the product?

    • +1

      And asking others to buy

    • -2

Yep it was too expensive. Should cost 1c

This deal is a bit on the nose….

While this is a 100% off bargain, the offer is aimed at promoting Telnasal over other brands. The active ingredient is Mometasone Furoate. Being branded 'Telnasal' doesn't make the active ingredient work any different to another brand (e.g. Nasonex) or a generic brand. If it works for you and you want to continue usage, do your comparison shopping for the active ingredient.

    • Also worth noting that Mometasone Furoate takes about 2 weeks of daily usage to build up to maximum effect. It's not instant relief.

      • And if you already have a stuffy nose because of hayfever the spray would be less effective, and it's better to use a pill, or to use it after using a decongestant.

    • Being branded 'Telnasal' doesn't make the active ingredient work any different to another brand

      It does though.
The placebo affect is a real thing

  • do they get any of your data for free*?

  • +2

Be careful with some of these sprays. Read up on the effects of them.

I have used two types, both effective but one is bad for you over longer term use. Can't remember which one do do your own research

    • Please consider consulting a healthcare professional rather than Dr Google.

      • Yeah I never said rely on Google.

Mayo clinic has some good info, which i verified after speaking with the pharmacist

    • +2

Dunno why you were downvoted, it was legitimate advice to research a medication before using it for the first time. Although, I agree it’s better to consult a medical professional vs. asking the Internet. At the very least, for over-the-counter meds the Pharmacist is a good source of information, but if you’re on any other meds then definitely talk to your Dr. or specialist.

This is not a deal or normal "cashback" promotion as the OP makes it seem: it's a satisfaction guarantee. Honestly it's disappointing to see so many take advantage of a company's good-will, and likely the reason many others brands and products don't offer such a system.

    • It's an unpopular opinion. I said that and was down voted. Lol

    • It seems odd that they label it as a promotion when it also seems like a satisfaction guarantee.

    • Promotional Period:

Start date: 10 August 2020 at 09:00 am AEST

End date: 31 December 2020 at 11:59 pm AEDT

All claims must be received by the Promoter before 14 January 2021 at 11:59 pm AEDT.

      Goodwill?
      It's a marketing gimmick

  • "If, after 14 days of using the Participating Product as instructed, the customer is not completely satisfied, they are eligible to claim the Cash Back": I would argue that that depends a lot more on one's significant other than on the effectiveness of this product.

The amount of ignorance on this site is astounding.

If you havent already, get yourself tested for allergens.

North Melbourne has a very good allergy specialist GP clinic.

    Then immunotherapy will follow.

Dont rely on this stuff to treat something you havent been diagnosed with.

    • +1

Spring hay-fever is self-evident. Why would somebody need a formal diagnosis?
Also, allergy related immunotherapy is often ineffective and is quite expensive.
I know because I have done it and it had little effect other than reaming my wallet
And further: "Those agreeing to allergen immunotherapy need to be committed to 3-5 years of treatment for it to work, and to cooperate with your doctor to minimise the frequency of side effects."

Can only claim if not completely satisfied after 14 days of use!

Not the usual cashback but give you a peace of mind to try out new product.

ps. I am an honest person.

    • It looks like the scope of this promotion is 100% cashback for those who are not 100% satisfied with the product, so its different from those common supermarket cashback freebies.
I would like this but I wont take it under false pretenses.

  • How do the allergy sprays compare to nasonex? I have dust mite allergy and find nasonex works quite decent although it doesn't work as long as dymista for me.

    • Same active ingredient as nasonex. Chemist warehouse also sells another generic called Azonaire.
