This is quite expensive for a 32" 4k monitor. For this model, you are paying a big premium for usb-c, and for the Dell brand.

The same monitor can be found for $1,325 + $35 delivery for me: https://www.megabuy.com.au/dell-ultrasharp-315-inch-4k-ips-u… There are a bunch of other shops listing this for under $1400 inc delivery. You can use any one of these for the Dell price-match, but it is still more expensive than other similar 4k monitors.

    Edit: A quick search on staticice finds a bunch of 4k usb-c 27" (Dell U2720Q), 32" and 43" monitors for under $1k.

    • Can you suggest an alternative of the same quality that's cheaper? Soz, you must have been updating your comment while I was replying. :)

For the record, this one is the UltraSharp model so it's guaranteed colour resolution and will have the premium 3-year warranty. Dell have a 32" in the S-range, but that won't be the same quality panel and definitely no USB-C.

If you want that specific model you can get it for cheaper from other shops or using Dell's price match.

AFAIK all S models are curved, while this one is flat.

This is normal price. 1299 at umart/mwave normally.

    Been as low as 1k.

    • Yes, can confirm got this for $1065 just 1 month ago. Great monitor

Please, how? I've been begging Dell support to even get me close

I had it in my cart at that price two months ago and haven't seen it since

        • Please, how?

          Dell outlet?

          • @O O: I've been checking weekly, the only 32" on there is the curved version, and has been for over a month.

            • @runean: Are you after this particular monitor only? Otherwise, there is a LG 32UN880 32" IPS UHD monitor pricing at $1049. The only caveat is it don't have a tradition stand, it comes with a C-clamp stand instead. Or else, Lenovo ThinkVision T32p-20 prices at $1014.

              • @O O: Very interesting - I personally was gunning for this one, as the panel is very highly reviewed, and doesn't suffer the 'green rot' issue that equivalent LG panels have.

That said, I had no idea that one existed, and it looks like it'll scratch the itch for me. Thanks for letting me know!

Edit: Oh, that is an LG. Yeah, all the LG 4k's are known to have the corners turn green after a few years, and LG doesn't care. Completely wiped them off the map for me, which is a real shame.

The Lenovo looks tempting! I wonder if I can use student discount…

  • This is an amazing monitor .. I got mine from Dell outlet refurbished for $800ish a few months back .. comes with the same 3 year warranties as per the brand new ones.

    • do you use it for video or photo editing at all ?

      • No .. office work, coding etc, use full resolution with Dell display manager which splits the screen into any required configuration.

If anyone cares I got the S3221QS last week and I find it amazing, especially given the price. I got it for a little over $500 during the last deal.

Coming from an IPS 25" Ultrasharp (U2515H) I find the curved VA 32" panel on the S3221QS just as good, after playing with the settings.

    • I had been deliberating between the Curved 32 inch S3221QS and the 27 inch S2721QS, but your comment made me pull the trigger on the S3221QS. How long did yours take to arrive? I am slightly nervous about the curved screen having a terrible viewing angle esp for watching movies or playing games with another person, how have you been finding it?

Hey mate. I ordered on the 15th Sept and it was delivered on the 29th. Don't be nervous, I imagine that if 2 people sat next to each other the angle would be fine. Not too far apart though obviously. I'll give you my colour settings when I'm home this evening which will give you a good starting point.

The only negative I've found is to do with the stand. Moving the screen to the highest setting is still quite low, so unless you put the stand on a monitor riser (or screen on a monitor arm, which is what I've ordered), you'll need to tilt the screen backwards slightly so that it's pointing directly at you eyes. Definitely not a dealbreaker though, and can easily be sorted.
