Ok, i may be on the verge of stretching the boundaries of the 'Oz' bargain but thought I'd share a travel bargain I stumbled across…
Pacific Blue, Virgin Blue's sister carrier in Oz and NZ has a happy hour on weekdays 10am-11am AEST (which translates to 12pm-1pm NZ time)
They often have very cheap deals… For instance this morning they had Christchurch to Sydney, and Auckland to Gold Coast for NZ$139 one way (inclusive of taxes) which converted to approx A$115 (which I snapped up of course!) Domestic NZ flights are also featured. The same flight booked from the Aussie website was A$199 (special). Only catch is you cant book Australia to NZ flights from the kiwi portal.
Virgin Blue's happy hour has lost its appeal that it once had, and I find have travel dates often 8+ months in advance really are not much cheaper than their regular sale fares. On the other hand Pacific Blue offers closer travel dates. Of course, destinations and dates change daily but if you're planning a trip to the tasman, it may be worthwhile checking it out.

Is this why all those Kiwi's are staying here - can't get a flight home!!!
Nice find - thanks
