What are the famous ones? Is there any which should be avoided ?

My favourite is geranium and rosewood

        This one is so good

Keep your comments to yourself then. What is comments for other than to share views and opinions.

gmail92 didn't share their viewers. They shared the views of the person who wrote the article.

I know one of the founders personally. He is one of the most grounded, down to earth people you'll ever meet and the 2nd link is just a hit piece.

      • +6

Similar to what people say about criminals they know. Oh, I know him/her personally, such a lovely person etc. Means nothing to anyone else. n = 1.

You’re right, we should keep buying things from the multinationals.

I would be worried about radical vegans who have unsuccessfully yelled at me/ tried to convert me! I would rather support them than an MNC who does nothing. The second article is a stupid one imo and foolish..

      • And the first one says they announced they would no longer be funding evangelical groups… 7 years ago. Who cares?

interesting they stopped. Maybe they were allowing people to buy bottled water guilt-free? That would probably be there biggest concern

If anyone wants to read the official response here is a good looking blog post by the Thank You team: https://thankyou.co/blog/2019/10/response-to-the-news-com-au…

31 million in revenue and $658,000 given - ~~ 2 cents per dollar going to charity. That was probably a bad year for them and sometimes you gotta pay expansion costs. still doesn't look good

      • That’s it. Total front.

        • +1

haha I won't be so harsh. maybe it really is a high volume low profit market. But its definitely misleading to the consumers who would expect more money going to charity

    • I happened to know a friend who personally know the founders of this company & their wives and cousins etc (as many of them "work" in that company, or maybe are just on their payroll ???). And I was also told that the wife of one of the co-founder , who is also a co-founder of that company, seems to be a devout Christian and has deep tie to those Christian organisations (she used to publicize that on her social media and all until that scandal of them secretly giving money to those organisations broke). Honestly I agree that the entire thing is a con and the whole charity shut is just marketing stunt to make you feel good abt giving your money to them.

Also just a little something I've heard abt them, that wife co-founder is pretty mean & false, not a nice person at all.

And as a beauty lover I personally find their products quite bad for their price range after sale even among other Aussie " green & clean" cosmetic brands as sukin and etc. Their entire body line has very mediocre formula and feels cosmetically awful.

For that price range I'd rather go for Dove body wash, much much better product both formula wise and cosmetic elegance wise and even $1 cheaper per litre.

dove contains sulphates - thankyou doesn't

  • This stuff smells pretty bad imo just my two cents

    • Agreed.
Feels awful on skin after wash as well. So drying

I don't care if Thank You hold back money from charity.

This is a good price for a decent product.

I buy the product not their morals.

    • Hugo Boss has entered the chat

    • Honestly if you're only in for the product I'd recommend Dove way way more.

Dove is only $6.5 per litre even cheaper than this one.

Better formula, better ingredients, gentler on skin, plenty of choices, smells nice, elegant consistency (unlike the gooey slimy thank-you one) and quite moisturizing (thank you one is so drying)

And there are many way better products on the market for this price range as well

dove contains sulphates - thankyou doesn't

        • Go check it out dove updated their formal months ago.

          Entire line Zero sulphates.

And their surfactant are actually much better than the thankyou one

          • @SadieS: good to hear - what line? do you have a link?

  • Love the scent of the rosewood! Always grab a few at this price!

  • Good deal, good product, good company. Thanks OP!
