Woolies gives you a monthly 10% off? How?
probably Woolworth Car Insurance or Mobile Plan customer
It's a great product and I love stocking up at Chemist Warehouse and getting them to price match :D
Thank you
In case relevant to anyone, they use a good portion of the money raised to proselytise evangelical Christianity - which they aren't very upfront about. Sydney Morning Herald revealed it a few years back.
you'll find all charities spend most of the money on themselves first before whatever cause they're supposed to be helping. modern day scams.
Woooah… Check out their independent audits of their profits… https://thankyou.co/uploads/TYCT-2017-Financial-Statements.p…
Thanks , report reads like a business. Money from dividends will be much less this year!
do you have a point?
its a for profit business.
easy for anyone to 'donate' money after they've taken their share.
just saying buy the products if you want just don't think you're supporting charities.
also widely known charities themselves spend about 50% on themselves before passing the rest onto their cause.@Pufff: yeah if they actually read through those financial statements the organisation donated around $1.6 mil in 2016 and abouyt $900k in 2017. Donated to a variety of organisations such as australian red cross, unicef, world vision, oxfam, salvation army etcetera.
So its all well and good to bag on this organisation for reportedly emphasising christianity, but at least they are putting a reasonable amount of profits to a good cause.
The dividends is from the charities trust/ownership of the company if anyone is wondering
@esosite: More than a reasonable amount! Massive donations!!
You gotta spend money to make money - thought that was the ozbargain philosophy haha
It's complex, but considering how much servant-hearted evangelical christianity has lead the charge to sustainably address and redress poverty, it seems to fits well into their business statement. Apparently it's part of loving the whole person, their past, present and future. That's pretty cool.
$31 million in revenue and $658,000 given
i mean its a good soap, but if you want to help poverty just donate directly
some people are gullible though.
making money on the pretence of helping is a low act.
better to donate directly to grassroots charities.
Guess we should just buy from multinational corporations that line the pockets of the rich and powerful instead… Seriously - a company that actually exists to battle poverty shouldn't be attacked because it happens to come from a Christian conviction
I'm waiting for the Flying Spaghetti Monster version.
I'd rather deal with a fox than a fox in sheeps clothing.
gee how scandalous.
Dan’s Response to The Age:
Who cares? Are they coming door to door to ask for donations?
The Method body wash is so much nicer IMO.
Thanks OP! Agreed it is rarely this cheap, but it is so good!! Especially this size.
maybe thankyou.
Darn, sale only applies to the Body Wash not the Hand Wash :(
Tried both, seems the same to me.
What's wrong with just plain bar of soap? It's a hell of a lot cheaper.
I love their soapbar.
Not everything is about money.
Won't be cheaper when you have to buy more chemicals to clean the soap scum.
The soap scum in the bathroom is cause by soap!? I get this the vanity though with only hand liquid soap bring used.
I recently moved away from bar soap resulting in a much cleaner shower.
Btw. What's so good about this soap that it's double the price of Aldi shower gel or hand soap.
Switched back to using bar soaps here and honestly prefer it over body washes.
awesome! they're rarely on sale! time to stock up!
Cheers OP! Wife is happy :)
Thank You
Price matching at chemist warehouse is a pain in the
