it's actually 30c dearer, if you're referring to this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/566622#comment-9315743
Can we buy now and use later? (in a year or so)
Good question. I'm thinking of just loading it up a couple years now to be sure.
you can stack up the membership up to 36 months
Thanks, glad I only bought 2 then. I'll be at around 32 months.
I think there is no limit on membership. I have loaded up to 6/19/2026.
My membership is currently stacked until December 2024.
You can stack more than that, I had my Aus account stacked for 5 years.
@snuke: damn it………I heard someone said it can be only up to 3 years so I only bought 3 years membership when JB made the mistake last time. Should buy more…
wait, there's a hard limit? I did not know that.
I have I think 38 months on mine.
Guess I won't be buying it yet.
We need a good deal on AU Plus subscriptions, mine is due next month and I am on the prowl for a bargain.
what's the best we've ever had so far? around $55?
Yeah the Days of Play deal was pretty good at around $55, I feel like before the price rise there were some even better deals but I can't remember. I really regret not just getting a couple of years worth when the Days of Play deal was on.
feels bad mate…. OZs have to pay higher price for exactly the same thing…
Around $45 last year, when Sony made a mistake with 25% off for Black Friday
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/498436only with a mistake can we get close to US…..
why? US PS+ prices are usually much cheaper when games go on sale than AU store and with US PS+ membership you can still play online with no lag or anything. I've had US PS+ membership since my PS3 days. I use https://psprices.com/region-us/games/ and https://psprices.com/region-au/games/ to compare prices and as said, most of the time it's much cheaper (even with bad exchange rate) buying games from the US store.
AU PS Plus games won't move over to a US account. So people who started on AU can't really move across without sacrificing the free games they've accumulated over the years.
I run an AU and US account side by side, taking advantage of sales on both stores.
@interfreak: Don’t you need a US credit card?
@Oli G: Nah you can buy US PSN cards.
I used to buy a fair few games off the US store, worked out way cheaper.
@mangobango: Any recommendations where to get US PSN cards?
@Oli G: This is the site I used to use.
Haven't bought much in a while, but I remember this being the cheapest/one of the cheapest in the market (might save an extra 10 cents or so elsewhere).
@Oli G: You can either:
- Buy US PSN cards or;
- Use a US PayPal account with an AU card linked to it (which is what I do).
• Use a US PayPal account with an AU card linked to it (which is what I do).
Oh smart, haven’t taught about it.
@interfreak: When trying to sign-up for a US Paypal account, you need a US phone number for verfication purposes. Any work around?
@ChatGPT-4: Google “received sms usa”
You can create your account but as soon as you gonna used it it will be restricted.
Prime Day is coming up in a couple weeks, it might have you covered.
Awesome, thanks! Bought 2 years. Will we be able have a ps4 and ps5 using the same ps plus account?
Probably won't be able to login at the same time.
Question,
If i start playing existing game in US psn plus account, am I going to be starting from a scratch? For example I've been playing MHW-IB for some time in AU PSN+, my PSN plus is due to expire soon. If I join US PSN plus and start playing online will I be starting brand new MHW-IB or use my existing account?You can use your savegame but all the games your got with your AU account will not be (Free) available with your US account.
there cheaper at endea
