Frying smaller stuff. Baking deeper cakes or things like bread pudding - heat distribution would be quite even.
Would be good for deep frying things I'd imagine. Good to have something fairly deep but not too wide so you aren't using huge quantities of oil.
Can I fit 2 250gm-300gm steaks in these?
Unless you've got a couple of big thin T-bones you shouldn't have a problem.
