It's a bit confusing to work out what oil to use when servicing the above
some sites recommend 5w30 others 10w40 or 15w40
what should I use ??
I'm in Melbourne if that makes any difference.

You're always safe using what the manual says, but, temps in Australia rarely get low enough to justify 0 or 5 weight oil. I would have no concerns about putting 10 or 15 in it personally.
They normally cross reference it with temps in a pretty little graph. It's either the manufacturer, or the collective wisdom of Australia's best
bargainoil viscosity website.
In Melbourne 5w30.
5w30 full synthetic A3
canola cooking oil
https://www.autobarn.com.au/castrol-magnatec-stop-start-5w30…
CASTROL MAGNATEC STOP-START FULL SYNTHETIC ENGINE OIL - 5W-30, 5L $19.99
go to repco or supercheap auto's website and put in your rego and your state and it will give you all the engine oils for your car
Always use what is stated in the manual. Don't venture from the grades in the manual.
What does the owners manual tell you?
Don't use 10W or 15W.
