          Yup just the cheapest oil you have. I only oil the inside, and leave it on my stovetop. Remember that the pan is iron, so if you leave it on a surface that’s even slightly damp, it’ll form rust stains.

    Do these cast iron frypans have any skin or layer on them that will start to peel later on?

      They don't have a non-stick layer which will die over time. They do build up a layer of polymerized oil (seasoning), which you can damage, but it's a simple process to reseason a pan. I also believe it's not harmful the seasoning ends up in your food. They'll last a life time if you take care of them.

    Great find. I’ve been after a flat cast iron pan for a while now. I use a griddle from Aldi for my steaks but that doesn’t work for things that require more contact.

    It was cheaper to buy two with free delivery than it was to buy one! You lot have convinced me it’s better to have at least a couple.

    Thanks OP. This deal is still on for the 10.25" so I joined Prime trial and bought 2 for free shipping. Literally buy 1 and get 1 free and I need 2 to cook faster anyway.
