Harvey Norman Albury currently have plenty of stock of Western Digital Essential 2TB USB 3.0 HDD for $128. This price was labelled as the normal ticket price on the box however a StaticICE search returns a cheapest price of $135.55 excluding shipping.

HDD prices are expected to skyrocket now due to the flooding of WD's manufacturing plants. I believe this is the best price you will get for a while.

I bought 2 drives and paid cash so I negotiated with the salesman and he knocked the price down to $120 each. I can upload a receipt if required.

    I was just about to post that Officeworks has (had) these for $124 last week at standard pricing (they were $114 a bit before that). Further checking shows that they've upped them to $159 now. Prices are only going to go up for a while.

      Ambiguous, the price was in-store. I just decided to link to their website which has a different pricing scheme. You may wish to check in-store too at your local Harvey Norman.

    Yeah i bought it at $114 about 5-6 months ago. no bargain.

    Actually it is a bargain in the current hard drive market…
    I put off getting a couple of these when they were $114, but bit the bullet at $124 just over a week ago because everywhere else they were $150+ due to the floods…glad I did because I needed two!
