$250 min spend for free shipping. I love a spare networking cable but that's a bit steep an ask.

    • +7

Don't you need 261 ethernet cables?

      • +1

I should identify as a multinational corporation and then maybe haha

        • +3

Yep, I work at Google and can confirm we buy all our networking cables off OzBargain :D

(side note: I obviously don't actually work at Google, just in case anyone misses the sarcasm…)

          • @miarn: I'm very disappointed you don't work at Google

          • @miarn: For a moment, I thought you really worked at Google.

          • @miarn: Didn't got the note, still thinks you work at google.

  • FYI, shipping is around $10

  • +1

Throw in free shipping and I'll take some off your hands. 250 cables is a few too many.

    • +30

SHIPMEFREE just made it for you guys

      • +2

The default 10% off sitewide seems to take precedence? Not allowing both or removal of the 10% to get the free shipping

        • +1

yeah can you remove the 10% off so we can apply the free shipping code?

  • +22

ok what i have done is default shipping set to free on checkout so it just defaults to free shipping. shopify for some reason will not combine codes with automatic discounts. we will have to look at why

    • Shipping is showing up as free now, cheers mate

Is is possible to have other colour such as green for the same price?

  • +1

Hey OP, any chance of other colours at the same price?

    I'm after Red and Green.

    • +1

what u do with RGB patchcords? does it make internet fastah

      • +7

Everyone knows that using the red cables makes your internet 10x speed!

I run a business in cybersecurity in which I supply an appliance that monitors for abnormalities in network traffic.

As part of the implementation, we use different colour patch cables so that less tech savvy people can easily identify that the "red cable" needs to supply internet from the ISP, meanwhile the "green cable" should be connected to the network switch to supply routing to internal traffic :)

PayPal didn't work so I chose Bank Deposit
order confirmed without entering any bank details?

    • I want to buy but don't get the use case of small cakes. How are you guys using it?

      • +1

Don't you speak badly about small cakes! THEY ARE DELICIOUS!

  • i need 23metres from somewhere?
and dont say get 15 of these šŸ˜…

    • +1

I think 25m would be the closest pre-made cable:
      https://www.skycomp.com.au/network-cable-cat6-rj45-25m-blue-ā€¦
… otherwise you would need to buy a roll of cable, cut to length & crimp the ends yourself.

    • +1

we do make custom lenghts, as one of the only manufacturers in the country we have the equipment to cut to the millimetre and can do custom labelling. email [email protected] for a quote

      • Can you cut fiber to length or rework on express drop cables at commercial volume?

        • we sure can, have a full fibre facility available, we are the only company that has fibre workshops in each state, re-working patch leads or doing multicore pre-terms in riser and loose tube. and mpo manufacturing coming online by end of year.

  • When does this deal expire?

    • +1

Presumably when excess stock is cleared.

  • Get some cat 7 cable instead and future proof the whole thing

    • These are short run patch cables, it'll handle 10Gbe fine at 1.5m distance. Besides, upgrading patch cables is extremely easy. I reckon it's cheaper to upgrade to cat 7 when 10Gbe switche become a common office works item.

      • +4

Cat7 was actually superseeded by Cat6a (Augmented Cat6) Not many manufacturers actually make Cat7 anymore due to too many connector differences. companies like siemon and panduit had different connector types like the terra connector etc as well as the traditional 8P8C RJ45, but basically it has been binned by most major manufacturers because of the introduction of Category 8 and fibre being a lot cheaper now. most manufacturers now do cat6a to 600mhz on their raw cable. A lot of imported leads only do just on 500mhz due to poor twist ratio in the pairs. (chinese cable extruders do not work as good as european and US machines)

        • Or cat 8 as well. šŸ˜Š

Many thanks for your support guys, we had over 900 orders in the last couple of hours! we will have our afternoon packing team get cracking and will try and get all the orders out by tomorrow afternoon!

  • Bugger… looks like they are all gone.

  • Bit odd that the site asks for a phone number but not an email.
Paypal payment also didn't work just says API blocked.
Any insights on why these are the case?

    • +1

i am just talking with paypal now as to why it was happening.

don't worry guys, more on monday!

  • +1

Wait, people actually buy network cables? Thought these were like pens and you just took them from work?

    • +1

shhh don't tell the boss our secrets!

  • Have more deals please.

  • MSY has 30m Cat 6E cable for $18 if you need it.

  • +1

This was such a well executed deal and shipped on same day. You guys should do some consulting for UGG!

  • Are these made in America/ EU or China?

  • Mine got shipped out but not tracking number? Is it sent by standard mail or tracked postage? I don't mind either one

    • All orders have been shipped. Australia post had a massive problem with their api. all single cable purchases went by snail mail and the rest via trackable eparcel. We are trying to get auspost to get their issues solved so we can batch upload all the tracking details. my apologies. Some states will be delayed due to covid. all victorian freight is still being handled in sydney and then trucked down to the van drivers. and brisbane freight there is an extra 2-3 days delay.

      • I got 2 cables so would that mean mine was sent by eparcel?

        • i can check with the warehouse guys in the morning. We will be doing another sale next monday. just gathering more stock in the warehouse to clear as we get ready to make way for new equipment and stock.

          • @execab: Hi, I received a wrong cable from my order :( who should I get in contact with?

          • @execab: Is there any sale still coming, as Monday has passed šŸ¤”

            • @Avbargain: yes we have been busy prepping for the next week. my apologies guys, dealing with auspost woes. This weekend for the long weekend we will be doing another sale. putting soem random stocks up on varied cat5e and cat6 for clearance. will announce later tonight

              • @execab: next week we will be doing a big clearout of om3 and singlemode fibre patch leads. we need to make space for a copper raw cable line

  • Mmm I still haven't received mine yet.

  • Got mine like 2 weeks ago

  • still haven't received my cables
I thought it was a scam ($4 worth šŸ˜) but now I think I am more pissed that auspost is this much late
    šŸ˜

    • if you have not received your order yet please email us at [email protected]. and no we are not a scam. we are actually one out of 4 real manufacturers in the country. the rest of the market is importer only businesses.
