    Thrustmaster… what a name

      Here for the comments.

      • here for the bargainz

Haha, I bought a Thrustmaster Racing Wheel for my Brother, it ended up being faulty, we had to take it to the post office to ship back.
Boi was it awkward handing the lady a big black box with my brother that just had "THRUSTMASTER" in capital letters across the top.

  • Anyone know if this is a worthwhile upgrade from the old Logitech Extreme 3D Pro? It looks to have more buttons but is the build quality and tracking precision any better?

    • +2

from what I've read it is definitely a step up from X3D. Precision is better as it uses hall effect sensors

      here's a good comparison.

edit: but since you already have a joystick, might be better to get a throttle or save up for something even better.

      • Informative comparison there. Cheers.

It does look to have been quite a bit cheaper in the past but this is definitely the best deal at the moment.

  • This vs Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Edition?

    • If you fly mainly commercial Airbus aircraft then the TCA Airbus is a no-brainer.

If you fly a mixture of civilian and military you might be better off getting the 16000M.

        thanks a lot

    • They are basically the same but the TCA has been remodelled for FS2020 Airbus

  • for MSFS 2020, Thrustmaster T.16000M vs Thrustmaster TCA Airbus?

    • Have been playing MFS2020 with my T.16000m without any issues. It got recognised straight away during the install process and starting working right away.

Only difference between the two appears to be the stick where in the TCA it's 2 round buttons (one red) while in the normal 16000m it's more rectangular. For the 16000m, swapping between LH and RH is simply unscrewing and swapping around the thumbrest and rotating the palm rest. In the pictures I'm seeing, the red button on the TCA changes between LH and RH. I don't know how much fiddling is involved in that process. Also, there is no thumb rest on the TCA unlike the 16000m.

I don't know if the throttles for the 16000m and the TCA can work with each other.

    • With the TCA you can buy two throttle quadrants and fly an A380 :o

      • The upcoming throttle quadrants (have one on order) work independently of any joystick ( Sidestick in airbus terms) . Just a USB connection.
The Honeycomb quadrant might be ultimately a better option.

        • That Honeycomb quadrant is teasing my wallet.

  • Look up the reviews. Unfortunately the rudder axis on these is known to die quickly. Otherwise would be awesome.
