How does this item compare to the Nvidia Shield 2019 and Shield Pro 2019?

    • +16

I'd say these are more comfortable to wear on a daily basis. However I don't think they support H.265 codec, only smelly feet.

If you know how to use Aliexpress and you can find it is only $50

    • +12

      Fake though?

      • +1

Don’t buy shoes from aliexpress but there is cheap delivery service to ship products to you. Using another app( dewu) to place an order and ship to your aliexpress address, then sending to your Oz address.

        • How do you do that? Since when does AliExpress offer forwarding?

          • @TheAccountant: Try to search transfer in Chinese, you can find many stores offer forwarding service and it is not strange as Made in China has to be sent to worldwide. Forward one pair of shoes is so easy.

    • +12

Great idea to get fake running shoes from Aliexpress.

      • I ‘m not mean buying from aliexpress and only use the delivery service. There is an app called dewu, you can treat it as Chinese Stock X or Goat .
You buy something from DEWU and ship to the warehous, where your item was sent to you directly.

  • What does this mean ?

" Not intended for use as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) "

Don't use it as steel capped boots

The all black colourway looks so good…wish it was available in my size

    • what size are you? US 9 seems to have popped up, even though it was previously unavailable.

      • Normally US 10.5-11…thanks for the tip, 10 is there now but wasn't before. Might go have a look at the size chart

        • i size up on these, i reckon you'd be an 11. I'm normally a US10 on Adidas Ultraboost but with these I go 10.5

  • +1

Thanks, just scored a pair - I love the React Odyssey for running, will be interesting to see how the Shields compare.

    • +2

In addition to the supreme comfort, the benefit of wet weather protection is extremely appealing.

The black accent looks so nice. Got one thx OP!

  • Damn I'm after Zoom Structure 22 but they never seem to be on sale

  • Just be aware. These ones are coming from Hongkong. It would take 1 month to reach and may not be in the same quality you would see in An Australian store. Returns would also go back to there. Almost like a grey import.

completed a recent order from Nike.

Did take a little longer than expected about 2 1/2 weeks and package came from Netherlands for me.

one of the pairs of shoes I ordered was a little too snug and returned. Return was free and I only needed to post to their Aus warehouse not netherlands.

Refund was back in my account within 5 days.

      • yes this is my experience with Nike also, if shoe you ordered is unsatisfactory in anyway it can be returned via post locally for free and refund fairly quick too.

      • Is it pre covid or post covid..? Chat agent saying 1 month to deliver.

      • +1

I've bought 5 pairs from the site and they always come from the Netherlands, not HK

    • +1

Why would the shoes from Hong Kong differ to the locally available stock ? Don't they all come from the same factory in Vietnam?

      • I am not sure about this perticular one. I bought Nikes from different parts of the world including USA and Singapore. I found build quality of Australian stored ones are better.

      • Received the pair today. It came from Netherlands and shipping was very fast. However, quality is inferior per sure.

  • -5

Negative vote - because it's Nike.

As mentioned above, the official Nike store is sending grey imports from overseas.

This is likely to avoid the tax, and also customer protection obligations under Australian law.

Nike shoes I ordered from their online store some time ago, self-disintegrated second time they were worn. Nike refused to replace or issue refund, unless I pay expensive DHL to ship back overseas.

I used to like the brand, but not anymore.

    • +1

I don't understand how imports from overseas would differ to locally sold pairs if they all come from the same factory in Vietnam.

      • -2

The difference is in GST that Nike is avoiding this way.

    • +4

You must have bought from either a fake or an overseas store. On AU store returns are free and they also have a 30 day trial guarantee

      • No, this was purchased on the official Nike store.

Problem was that shoes were worn for the first time just outside of 30 days, after which they promptly disintegrated.

Australian consumer law would protect in this case, as the product was not fit for purpose.

Nike's customer support didn't care, and insisted to pay the expensive return shipping.

        I'm wearing Adidas now.

        • which nikes? got pics?

  • made in xinyang concentration camps by forced labour dont buy nike!!!

guys we need to have a hard think about our purchases, don't buy made in china!

    • +1

Read the details, these are made in Vietnam.

      • +3

You've just ruined his virtue signalling moment.

  • this or asics gel nimbus 22?

  • Is US shoe size and AUS shoe size same ? Can some please advise ?

    • +1

Not for Men. For some reason in Mens AU=UK (US-1). But Womens AU=US.

    • Australian stores go by US numbers.

If you go into any footwear store and ask “for a 9”
They’ll hand you a US9. I don’t believe I’ve seen shoes with AU sizes written.

      Typically, US, UK & EU

      • Not according to this. Depends on the store and brand in my experience.

But yes, no shoes will have an AU size in them. I personally always go by EU size, as I can never remember if I'm a 10 out 11 in US or UK, but I remember I'm a 45.

      • You're right, AU sizing isn't actually a thing (at least I have never seen a shoe labelled with AU sizing). In store staff will usually hand you the US size you ask for. However some online stores list AU size (which is weird) but should be equivalent to UK.

  • 291g… "Lightweight" has become such a broad descriptor.

  • Soooo dissapointed they don't have any in my size left, have a pair of Odyssey Reacts that are by far my most comfortable shoe but I though Nike discontinued them. Miles better than the Reacts which are waaay to narrow.
