Received mine, box is resealed. filter is opened. some dirty marks on the body.
it doesnt look like brand new. have to return it back.
I suspect that there is no Australia specific model so they probably open each box and swap out the power cord. Having said that it sucks that you may have gotten a returned unit. I shall definitely be checking mine closely.
Does the filter come in a separate box?
I've received mine but it constantly shows a reading of 001. It seems this is a common problem. Will run it for a little longer otherwise it's going back.

The original Xiaomi power cord inside the unit has been replaced by a cheaper quality black colour one with the AU plug.
So basically they replaced the power cord, then it became Official AU Stock ?
As I said there's probably no such thing as an Oz model. Swapping out cords by the local importer is a common practice.
If it is just the power cords ,, I don't care much,, This is what ill do anyway…

At least they should provide an unopened box with an extra AU cord. As they promote its brand new.

I received mine and it looks pristine and appears to work fine (so far). At least returning via ebay plus is free and easily done.

Its opened and resealed. High chance get from a return one you may not know.
Have you tried using a source (like a smoking candle) near the sensor? .

Got mine, looks never opened, untouched.. works fine & can see rating changes , not sure how accurate they are .
Also works fine with App, with server setting mainland china.

Yeah i just received both of mine and the first one ive opened had marks on the body which came off with a quick wet wipe but still. Also the number is sitting on 001 and for the life of me i cant get it to connect to the app!
Just connected, have to manually select device in the app. I received a white cable but 001 always. Not sure if it actually works
works with google home but not alexa
Mine finally started working today. Connected to the app with Australia set as the region. The number has also begun fluctuating, going as high as 12.

Another one here. Absolutely a resealed box. I accept if they need to change the plug out, then fine. But yeah, I live in a vacuum laboratory as every room shows up as 001 and that concerns me. If I do candle smoke then yeah, numbers do jump up and back to 001 pretty quickly. Even saw a 600 at one point. What is this 001 thing all about? Seems a bit dodgy.
Well mine was resealed as well but looking closely at the tape there was only one layer of tape over the original circular tape piece and the box it was delivered in was in very good/clean condition. If it was a return I'd expect to find more layers of tape on it or at the very least some visible marks where they would have tried to rip old tape off.My unit was also clean so I guess it's a crap shoot as to whether the guy/girl doing the packing was a grub.
I tested my unit with some smoke tester spray (I use that to check my smoke alarms from time to make sure they're ok) and sure enough the reading jumps up and then eventually comes down as the particles dissipate which is to be expected. The AQI in my place generally hovers in the good range so I'm thinking either the sensors in them aren't very good or the units are biased towards showing lower values which means in Australia it's not going to work that well in auto mode unless we get some more bushfires (fingers crossed not)

u should realized the only problem with Xiaomi Mi 2 is electronics, the sensor or the way it calculate air qualities is not accurate enough.
if u control it manually it works fine.
also not fair when u compare with something else but unintentionally fogot the tell the price different…
i bet 3xMi Air Purifier works much better then 1 IQ Air.
oh wait, u talking about Xiaomi Mi 2 vs IQ Air/Blueair,
then is about 5-6 Mi 2 vs 1 IQ Air or Blueair (if u could get them for under $700).
